I had a horrible time there. Surely the location is great, right at the river Douro. This could also justify the high prices (probably the highest prices in Porto), if the stay was pleasant. In my case, the staff was unfriendly and noticed me only after I spoke directly to him, my drink tasted like nothing, the WiFi didn't work... More

It was raining so this was a great find. We were able to be seated pretty quickly, vey close to the next table like enough to share their food. Service was great and they spoke which which was very helpful. The food was good but not spectacular.

Lovely to sit by the side of The Douro for lunch-but this is a bit of a tourist trap--food OK but not great but a lot overpriced-but heyho, when in Porto enjoy yourself.

Lovely food and servers but they get so busy so be prepared to wait. Happy to cater for allergies too. Gluten free dairy free lactose free

At the end of a long day, we decided to stay close to our hotel and grab a bite at the closest location, Cafe do Cais. We never imagined that the food would be excellent and the price quite reasonable. One of us had octopus, and the other ate grilled pork. Our appetizers were peppers (sautéed in olive oil) and... The place is definitely overpriced, but the view is amazing and it is very relaxing to sit here. Their white sangria is the best I ever tried.

After 5 days of Portuguese and Spanish seafood, the hamburger here was a god sent! 200 g of pure veal and deliciously put together. We also an interesting Portuguese pork sandwich with egg and sauce and it tuned out to be rather good. The rest of the stuff, chicken kebab and mushroom were average but the cod balls were good.... Situated on the side of the river Douro this is a busy cafe. The menu is limited but can certainly recommend the Henry garlic chips as a snack whilst having a beer watching the world go by. Not cheap but you wouldn't expect it to be given its location.

Just sit down and watch the world goes by while you’re having your Tawny Port :) Café do Cais is a fantastic place to have a nice drink after sightseeing. It is a perfect spot for people watching and relaxing on the river bank. During our 3 day stay in Porto we’ve been several times. You can also have a... More

There was nothing good about this place except for the amazing location. Service terrible, prices outrageous and food below the average
