Local eatery right down the street from our hotel ! Huge portion of codfish which was very fresh ! Attentive service ! Inexpensive vino verde topped off the meal ! Highly recommended!

We ate here twice. The service was excellent and attentive. The food was fast, hot and delicious. They have good vino verde. Would recommend to anyone.

This is a real local place, but the chicken is better at other restaurants in the city. We had the grilled chicken, a salad and a vegetable bean soup. The soup was great. The salad - average. The chicken was super fresh (still had blood in its veins between the joints). It was cooked through, but it would have been... More

One reason I enjoy traveling in the Mediterranean world is for the home cooking little restaurants where middle-aged men wait the tables with a brisk kindness. This is one of those places, and most of the dishes I tried were very tasty and satisfying (I would avoid the large beef steak, which was full of inedibles, so to speak.). Lunch... More

You don't expect it but this typical and affordable place is what you need if you want to have a good time! Waiters give you great advice and food is very good. 1 starter + 2 main courses + 1 dessert + 1 coffee = 37€! Go for it!!!

Happened into local spot Churrasqueira Moura which also says Café Christina desde 1904 on the sign. Easy to find one street parallel to Avenida Dos Aliados on the left as you go away from the Sao Bento train station at Rua do Almada 221 in Porto. They have lots of delicious cooked to order char-grilled meats such as chicken, steak,... More

We were recommended this restaurant by one of Porto's local. We were surprised to find that English is widely spoken throughout Portugal, studied as it is as a second language, making the country very easy to visit. This simple café-style restaurant accessed up some back streets off the main Liberty Square, proved to serve outstanding, simple Portuguese cuisine. Our companions... More

Everything on the grill is to order...beautiful thick steak nice middle rare, the ribs, the fish...and must ask for the home made Piri-Piri, it burns my mouth but it goes so well with everything there. Traditional Portuguese food surrended by the locals, I love it! I didn't understand what they were saying so what...I enjoyed a lot! More Portuguese than... More

We enjoyed eating at this place and chose to go in on a whim after seeing the full tables and charcoal grill. It's a plain, no frills, unpretentious place. Staff efficient but not especially friendly - go elsewhere if you want waiters who can smarm in 10 languages! Our food was very good from the typical soup to bacalhau with... More

Churrasqueira comes from Churrasco, it is food made in coals. Average food, nothing fancy but if you look for something not expensive this is the place. Nice food for an excelent price. The area is great.
