We had a very good meal, our introduction to Portuguese cuisine at Papavinhos. The grilled octopus was perhaps the best we found. Service was warm and helpful. Very fairly priced and great value.

We spent 10 days in Porto and ate three times there! It's a family restaurant with a friendly and attentive owner. Seafood and fish were very delicious and fresh. Food, wine and other drinks were value for money. We recommend the restaurant without any doubts.

Excellent choice for lunch in Porto! I'd recommend phoning them to make a reservation (+351 22 200 0204) and ask for a table by the windows upstairs (lovely view of the river). Papavinhos is about 30 minutes gentle stroll... More

The dress code was casual, they were locals just out for dinner. I 'm sure you can order gluten free, meat and vegetables. Get a card translated in Portuguese to explain your needs.
