Best, Delectable Francesinha in Porto! Beef is cooked just right unlike the one I ate the first time at another restaurant! Service is excellent, staff are welcoming even when they are busy:))

Heard a lot about the francesinha here in Porto . The actual experience is better than what I heard . Food is served very quickly . Quality and taste is fantastic . Most important the manager who is serving us at the bar counter is fantastic . Initially I wasn't so sure about sitting at the bar counter near the... More

Great place. Fantastic food. Go and see. No more to say. Very typical porto food. Wine list and prices crazy. Good bottle of wine € 7.

We had been advised to visit this diner-styled restaurant for the best Francesinha in Porto. Having not had one before or since, we cannot qualify the claim, but the meal was very good. This despite the fact that a Francesinha must be one of the most unhealthy dishes around - one can almost feel the cholesterol clogging up your veins... More

One of the guides from or trip to Real Companhia Velha recommended this place as serving the best Francesina- we weren't disappointed. You can't reserve and there was a cluster of 10-15 people waiting outside - luckily a man with a clipboard takes your name and ushers you in as soon as some leaves. The place was packed- most people... More

Francezinha is a typical sandwich of Porto, which had it's origin in a restaurant worker who had been an emigrant in France - so it's an adaptation of a french dish. Santiago is the place to try it. It's a pity that everybody knows this, so you really have to be an "early bird" or else you're in for a... More

The best Francesinha I have ever tasted, however it is the only one I have ever tasted. It remains the most mental thing I have ever eaten, it should be (according to all logic) something that I would never even try. Along with a couple of beers it was absoluteley amazing. Really tasty with only one down fall. If you... More

The food was good and reasonably priced. However the service left a bitter taste. No eye contact, not one smile. Seemed like they treated me like a nuisance for not understanding Portuguese. I actually speak English, French and Spanish, and it's not that hard for me to understand if you take a second to slow down and demonstrate rather than... More

Typical Francesinha sandwich recommended by everyone in Porto. They have different types of francesinha and they are all huge. I wish I shared mine because that was too much. Price is about 11€ per sandwich which is totally worth it. It's always full so my recommendation is to reserve. It's a lunch, too much for a dinner.

Now, this is the place many people told me to go for THE francesinha - which is basically a heartache surrounded by chips and gravy. It was AMAZING! The menu is simple - a few types of francesihna (with egg, without egg, with chips, without chips). Comfortable diner-like atmosphere. We walked in at 11:30am - and it was empty. By... More
