A nice place to dine. A little industrious feeling to it, I would believe basically on purpose as the restaurant tries to recreate a brewery environment. Service is regular. The food is reasonable and reflect the prices. Good enough for a leisurely meal. If however you believe that the name 'beer cellar' means you'll get to choose from a wide... More

The restaurant it's in the river Douro side so you have a great view over the river and over Oporto riverside (if you have look and there isn't any bus parked in front of the window). The restaurant space is wide open and pleasant. Many tables available. The service was quick and friendly. We waited a bit for the meals... More

This restaurant has become the last food tradition before leaving back home. Always for a francesinha and a cold (self brewed) beer. The location at the docas is just top! You have all the port vine cellar just around the corner. The Francesinhas are delicius you need to try it. It may also be your new spot in the future... More

My wife and I had lunch here, during our tour of Porto. It is a nice location, with harbour views. Seating arrangements are comfortable. We ordered from the English menu and had vegetable soup to start, followed by a grilled main course. Service was prompt and the place was clean.

If, for a change of pace, you want to explore beer in Porto, this seems like one of the very few options. Unfortunately it's very poor. The purpose-build modern shopping area is ugly and unwelcoming. Service was professional but dry. The beers serviced are (taste) clearly industrial made. Although I admire the effort to offer something else then a pale... More

Located in Gaia by the river Douro. Extensive menu (Francesinhas are a speciality). Tender steaks. Fresh fish. Good choice of beers for those who are tiring of Super Bock. Mains 8-14 Euros approx.

This restaurant is excellent for group meals. Location is excellent. Very good options in meat, fish and dessert. Excellent steak with gorgonzola cheese sauce. Price is fair.

Porto has some fantasic restaurrants and great local food and wines. One of the local specialities you should try when you are there is a francesinhas (de modo porto) - basically a heart attack on a plate that consists of a white bread sandwich filled with steak, sausage, ham and cheese, covered in a spicy tomato sauce with a fried...
