The wait staff were very helpful and friendly. All of the food that we had was excellent - though the clear standout... More

Small and cosy little restaurant with great food at very good price. Service was very fast and attentive and waiters really friendly. Highly recommend it.

So it was lunch time and my wife and I went to Ora Viva to have a meal. It was rainy and as we entered the tiny restaurant it was full. My wife gently asked a waiter if there were any table but he answered not even looking at her: "Don't you see, we are full." She asked whether we... More

Highly recommend this place. Book in advance; there are only about half a dozen tables inside and it fills very fast. Of the three dishes we had, the roasted octopus was the best. It just fell apart, that's how tender it was. The dishes are more on the heavy side: lots of butter etc so go very hungry. Excellent espresso... More

This small restaurant offers excellent service and good food at reasonable prices. It was a relief to find that it was possible to eat good fresh food when so many places in Porto do not.

Stumbled across this restaurant in the alley way behind our hotel. Was busy but they quickly adjusted the seating and fitted the 2 of us in. Was an eclectic mix of locals (including a birthday celebration) and a range of internationals. Great food at good prices. Best part was the port selection and the staff advice about a local port... Generous portions. Had the Portuguese swordfish and the monkfish current. Both were delicious. The service was friendly.

I'm a foodie so I'm quite particular about eating GOOD food. We visited here while in Porto. My husband had the pork chop and I had the octopus. The octopus was the best I've ever had...it was so tender that I hardly thought it was octopus! Salad was delicious and large enough to share. The sausage appetizer was very tasty... More
