After an all day tour in the Douro region and polishing a lovely sea bass dish with local wine, I was pretty full but figured a soup and salad would tick me over till morning. My guide Jonathan from living tours made the recommendation and suggested I had cod. I skipped the cod as I was not so hungry. This... More

We had octopus salad and prawn-mussles plate for starters. Both were really good. For main we ordered grilled cod and it was really dry and tasted like paper. Could not eat it. We sent it back and got grilled octopus instead. That was delicious! Also the staff was very friendly and polite. For dessert we would reccommend hidden apple pie.... More

Down a back street, opposite bus station so would not have found or passed by had it not been for the reviews. Glad we made the effort as the food was excellent. Best pork chop in garlic ever! Great pepper steak, the potato slices were to die for , great veg and rice as well. Good value, varied wine list,... More

Fernando is the best waiter , nice charming & caring. Portions are really big ! Almost for two persons. Arrive hungry! Reservation needed in weekend of wait for 30 - 45 min (No bar) Recomment the octopus salad for starter and desert the almond tart with Orange zest.

Going to Porto city in Portugal, man should have surely a cod fish - bacalhau ! Abadia served a very nice appetizer - azeitonas and para negra (presunto porco ibérico) followed by a nice bacalhau cooked at their own style ! Conveniently located near Via Santa Catarina, mercado do Bolhao and Porto FC store. Great for dinner. Dishes are big and can be shared. Great choice of wine. Affordable prices. Friendly waiters and great service. Different dining rooms with special deco. High quality ingredients and well prepared hearty food. Not to be missed!

This a restaurant in the very center of Oporto since decades. Even if it hasnt modernised (decoration, furniture), it has one of the best food and service in town. Expect very typical portuguese food, some brasilian dishes also, plenty of fish and the very well know cod. Service is fast, people are very nice and food delicious. Had a picanha... More
