After walking down 600 of the 686 steps from the sanctuary this was a lovely place to stop for refreshments on the terrace above the shop well stocked with local food items.

Stopped for drinks and snack lunch after visiting the Santuario Nossa Senhora dos Remedios. Helpful staff, good wine list and a very generous plate of cheese and hams. Quiet and relaxing in their garden late morning.

We could taste different wines and Port while eating a selection of ham, cheese and biscuits. The owner was very kind with us. Recommended after a walk in the town !
