One of the best places to eat in Funchal. Nice service and really Nice food & wine. It is a bit more pricey bit worth it.

A delightful and classy restaurant. Made to feel welcome with attentive staff, excellent service and great food. Even my fussy spouse had nothing but praise. Wine choices were good value

We turned up on a cool evening, after being unable to get in elsewhere. The place was busy but not full. We were seated in a covered alley. We had to keep our jackets on. The staff all seemed to be busy without doing anything in particular. They were all young and needed some direction. The food when it arrived was... More

On a recent visit to Madeira we dined here 3 times and were never disappointed. The food, service and wine pairings were excellent and at 84 Euros for two people extremely good value for the quality on offer. The service, entertainment and ambience were first class and the furnishings, which had been updated since our last visit in March had... More

Otherwise known as the 'Salt Cellars' to Brits - this is a fantastic experience. Different wines with every beautifully cooked and presented course. A real treat. The service was attentive and excellent without being fussy. Dining with friends was superb - well worth the little bit extra on the budget. Enjoy!

Had such a good meal, friendly staff, interesting food, lovely wines, we went back two days later. We had been about 18 months before and it was as good as we remembered.

Stayed in Funchal for a week and visited this hidden away restaurant twice. Booking was essential and both times we were not disappointed. We chose the value combination menu including a selection of wines, which gave us a three course meal and a very little Appetizer. The staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful. Life music was delivered by a... More

We rediscovered this restaurant on our last visit to Madeira and were so impressed we booked three times (you should book) for our recent holiday. It more than matched our expectations. Food I would describe as modern European in style but based around local produce/fish etc. Standout dishes were a new take on Caesar Salad, each ingredient presented separately, a... More

We dined here on our third evening in Funchal and were very impressed. We were welcomed by very warm smiles from the team. We chose to eat from the a la carte menu which offered some tantalising dishes. Good advice was forthcoming on the choice of wine to accompany our fish-focused meal. An amuse bouche of spicy sausage was brought... More

Very delicate and innovative food, well prepared and served with great sense of visual effects. Good value for money. One of the best in town? Missed some personal attention as a non-regular guest in the beginning. But overall very nice and definately recommendable.
