Omg what can I say the service is fantastic and the food well the portions are huge and all is freshly cooked when you order. I had the Portuguese steak and it was cooked to perfection and the sauce was to die for. My friend...More

We greatly enjoyed our experience at O Jango; we were looking for some authentic fish dishes to close out our week on Madeira. This small restaurant fit the bill. At first glance it is not terribly impressive but we took the time to chat with...More

Good welcome and service. Good lapas but with too many butter (and octopuss alike). The tomato soup and espada with banana was ok. Not the best restaurant in Madeira, but it fulfills its role.

Lovely little restaurant at the end of the Old Town. Lots of nice fish dishes with fresh vegetables. Great service too!

Quite expensive for non traditional Portuguese food. We eat fish prepared with unidentified sauces and accompanied with no-tasty boiled vegetables. Only positive point, the welcome and the service. To avoid.

We ended up going here twice for lunch - they serve excellent local soups, the passion-fruit pudding is the best dessert on the island, and the service is very friendly. It is located at the end of a pedestrian street so rather nice place to...More

The main fish or meat dishes were ok but the vegetables were uninteresting and cold. The menu choice of desserts were obviously bought in and straight from the freezer, so we chose not to bother. There are plenty of restaurants nearby so I think O...More

I got the urge for a simple lunch of squid, bread and salad. While not on the menu as a starter they kindly provided one standard garlic portion for me and Chefs special for my wife (piri sauce). Both spot on, crisp fresh salad and...More
