We ate here for lunch and were very pleased. Very nice atmosphere, sat outdoors on the patio. Excellent service and very tasty food. We recommend the veal cutlet. The desserts are also exquisit.

Ordered “national food” of Portugal, Cod. It was the best I ever had! Their grandma’s recipe? Their service was awesome. Atmosphere can’t be better! A great place to enjoy city of Sintra.

The former stable of a noble house were later transformed into this great restaurant in the old town of Sintra. The whole place oozes old time charm including the well dressed waiters and even the table settings. And their house specialty cod fish dish was...like no bacalhau in other Portuguese restaurants but a true family recipe with potato, turnip, onions and boiled egg. And when they wheel out their dessert cart, the choices are just so many but the local specialty sweet rice was terrific.More

Ate here for lunch. We enjoyed a glass of Port wine with bread and cheese, cream of vegetable soup, pumpkin soup with hazelnut cappuccino foam, and gambas al ajillo. Good service and delicious food!

We were lucky to get one of the last bacalhau special meals of the day "prato do dia". The meal included two beautiful filets that were moist and tender. Great spot to eat, drink and take in the ambience of the historic centre of Sintra.

*No-go for vegetarians* They don’t offer more than small side dishes as vegetarian options. On their menu are two vegetarian dinner options. The first is a mushroom Creme that the waitress herself described as more like a starter than a whole meal. And the other...option is a gratin with two pieces of broccoli, two pieces of cauliflower, and a thin cheese top of 3cm, less than anything offers as a side dish to the fish or meat options.More

We had the "arroz a la angolana" (seafood rice) and it was really tasty and well cooked. I would suggest to ask for a bit of extra spicy sauce, it really makes a difference. The staff was really friendly and.in general is a very recomendable...place if you happen to in Sintra's old town.More

We had an incredible meal last night the food was delicious, I had fish ( fried fillets in shrimp sauce ) with large king prawns and my partner meat both were incredible. Tomas our waiter recommended great wines and was very attentive. The lady also...in the restaurant I guess the owner also was keeping an eye that everything was running smoothly and was friendly too. Great selection of wines, nice atmosphere inside. Very traditional Portuguese food. Lovely ! And thanks to Tomas he made it very especial!More

If you own this restaurant and are reading this, guys you need to sort it out. We went to Incomum just down the road and spent the same amount of money and the difference is ridiculous. Firstly, you can’t charge 12 euros for ham from...a packet, stale bread and butter given to you in a plastic package. It’s like a school lunch. Secondly the duck was dry, no sauce and tasted like nothing, I feel sick after eating it. Honestly the most disappointing and overpriced meal I can remember in the last 10 years of eating anywhere.More

Amazing Service, reasonable price considering it’s just a couple of euro more than the more touristic places nearby without tablecloths! Had an amazing Veal and cilantro steak 14Eur to share and cooked to perfection. He even sliced it and split the dish into two with...home made fries that were divine. We split our first meal as we were waiting for the 45 minute Seafood Rice stew Arroz a Angolara 35Eur which was huge (for two) and was everything it was hyped up to be. Full of cod shrimps mussels and seafood!couldn’t be happier. Fantastic service by an attentive waiter, unexpected highlight.More
