We had a very nice meal at this restaurant, and everything we ordered was quite tasty. We didn’t have reservations, but we were lucky to get a table. The restaurant must be very popular, and the servers were constantly on the run. Prices were very...reasonable, and the restaurant atmosphere was comfortable. We’d easily return for another meal.More
I have to say, I was disappointed. Good reviews, but I was left stumped as to why... first impressions, too bright, TV on = rarely good, but we were ushered to the back of the restaurant where no TV vision or sound was present ....I asked about starters (gluten intolerant) and meanwhile was introduced to the gin list = good.
I got back to my table where my partner's (lukewarm) soup had already arrived and I was told I could have the tuna pate without bread, as it was gluten free. I was surprised at the early appearance if soup, which one imagines could have been served at any time, i.e. with my starter... it also came sans bread, odd.
Soup was ok, nothing special apart from its lack of heat.
Tina pate was basically tuna with some mayonnaise and spring onion, I'd say. Again ok, nothing notably good or bad.
Main arrived just as we finished our starters, the plates for which were quickly whisked away.
My partner tells me that his veal with mushrooms was good, however chips were soggy.
The octopus was tender, and not unenjoyable but I felt we had been whisked through the night and everything had pretty much arrived and been eaten in less than 45 minutes. It's hardly a place to aim for, unless you are in a hurry and not too fussy about the food. Otherwise not recommended at all.More
Perfect for celiacs, everything but two items on the menu were gluten free.
Great service, beautiful food and very good value for money. The portions were very generous, humble looking place but the food was divin. Book ahead. We parked near by and a short...walk round the corner to free parking.More
Delicious food, great atmosphere and affordable prices! We ordered a steak and a vegetarian francesinha and both were fantastic. The service was also excellent - very friendly and professional staff. This is a great place to experience Portuguese cuisine with vegetarian and vegan options on...a smaller budget.More
Without doubt, enjoying dinner at Metamorphosis last evening was the highlight of our visit to Sintra. Genuinely friendly and helpful staff and absolutely delicious dinners - 5 pepper steak for me & octopus for my husband. Both were the best! And then there was the...wine - excellent!
And, it was comforting that all customers had to show their vaccination cards.
Put this on your "must visit" list right next to Castle of the Moors.More
We went there out of recommendation, don't stop at the look of the restaurant: the food is amazing, and very generous. I recommend the eggplant for vegetarians, excellent and filling.
The waiter is efficient and kind.
