Was there back in June 2013 and I thought I was in "heaven" when I tried their pastries. I am going back to Lisbon this coming June 2017 and I will be going back! Can't wait.

The location is great and their flan is delicious. As with everything in Portugal and Spain and most of Europe, it is not meant for people who rush. The idea is to sit and enjoy and take your time while engaging in meaningful conversation and/or rest. If you want to rush then go to McDonalds or Burger King.

Good points were that the coffee was great (other people seem to have criticized the coffee, but we enjoyed our galaos, maybe we were lucky!), the location is excellent and the waiter was smiley and friendly. Bad points are that the service had a bit of a disorganized feel, the food was a bit basic and there were no pastries... More

The cafe is placed in the center of Lissabon. We've ordered two coffee americano but we've got our worsest coffee ever. It had nothing to do with a coffee americano vor a coffee. It was only brownish hot water without any kind of flavor. It was the expensivest coffee we've had too! Never again!

As Pastelaria Suica is situated right in the heart of the city, fronting onto two seperate squares, with plenty of outdoor seating to watch the world go by, it's no wonder it's always busy. Added to this the beautiful pastries & cakes, very good coffees & nice light bites, which are all available in the coffee shop area & there... More

Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighbourhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
