This place is an absolute institution that I would not want to miss out on. We got seated pretty quick (I think we waited maybe five minutes) and had a server take our (first) order within minutes of that. The Pastel De Nata is the...obvious choice to get here and they come out warm, perfectly flakey, gooey, creamy and delicious. The espresso was wonderful and pairs perfectly with the Pastels. The inside is clean and comfortable (and quite extensive, you wouldn't notice from the front how far back the space goes!) You'll wait in line quite a while if you're only trying to get a to-go order and I would recommend getting a table to enjoy the experience to it's fullest.More

This is a must see for those who need to know for sure that they had the best pastel da nata… but truth be told, go to Madelaine’s if you in the Chiado area and do not fancy the trek out to this spot.

Highly recommended by my friends who have eaten more than one ‘Pastel de nata’. So I tried also some on different places and most times they were nice but these were really good!

The best! Flavor, texture & environment! A place to go! Also, you can buy the espresso cups, I got 6 of them & an apron as a souvenir. The servers were very helpful, thanks!

Waited 10 minutes for table and had the tarts. Excellent tarts, very crispy pastry and creamy filling. Amongst the best in Lisbon Same price to sit in the restaurant to eat as take away - 1.10 euros each! Amazing price.

Amazing. Well worth the 15 minute queue. You can also sit down and enjoy them with a coffee if you have time and there didn't seem to be a queue for this. A Portuguese institution

The custard tarts are absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend going here. We had coffee and tarts inside. The staff were very helpful and the queue was minimal. The bigger queue was for the takeaway but even this queue moves quickly due to the streamline...service.More

Pastéis de Belém are a must! My husband grew up eating these and no other place in Lisboa can replicate the unique flavor and custard consistency.

Oh yes! That’s what we did! The price is the same and your server can bring you the pastries when you’re ready to leave and just charge it on your bill.
