We arrived at about 11.30 on a Sunday and though the place was busy, we got a table within a minute or so. There are a lot of tables - don't be misled by the small shop front. The pasteis were good, service was friendly...More

No questions asked; the best pastels de Belem. Long line but move very fast. When in Lisbon, this is a most.

We seat in a small table and had some pasteis de Nata also known as pasteis de Belem. If you have a chance go to the museum of Coches not far away. I tried the "empada" but was disappointed. The ones we have in Brasil...More

If you are visiting the various monuments & cultural sites of Belem, then you should not miss out on a delicious warm Pasteis de Belem. The queues can look long on the outside of the building but they move quickly. We were there yesterday lunchtime...More

Absolutely brilliant, well worth a visit. Very busy but quick turnover and if you have a little time not at all difficult to get a table. Food was brilliant, staff extremely busy but prompt and punctual. Food arrived quickly and pasteis were to die for.

Went to the coach museum nearby and decided to go and try this bakery/cafe for some of their legendary Pasteis de Belem (a flaky custard tart). It is only about 300 m away. We could see the queues standing outside long before we got there....More

So you must have pasteis de nata while you are in Portugal. This shop/restaurant right down the street from the monastery is the birthplace according to legend. We tried a lot of the custard pastries on our trip and these were by far the best...More

Buy as many as you can to take home. I bought a box to take home and ended up eating them in my hotel. I couldn't resist, they are that good! Buy a few boxes so you can take them home to family!😊😊

I don't recall seeing eggs and things like those, but we had the pasteis, pastries and also chicken and beef empanadas... they do have options. So I guess it's a question of what falls into your category of breakfast.
