Quite special to eat in a former cloister. All staff was very attentive, food was good. The atmosphere and building are beautiful; a lot to see! Only minor: it was quite warm inside.

We had a trip with about 80 people in total. We booked this restaurant few weeks in advance, because it had good recommendations and it was big enough for us. Two types of three course meals, both had a soup for starter. It tasted like one from a nearby grocery store. Main courses, a low-quality steak with greasy fries and... More
We sat in the bar area for drinks and tapas, looking at the beautiful tile panels. Amazing season allegories & masonic symbols for a former convent!
We visited Carvejaria Trindade as it was recommended in our guidebook and were pleasantly surprised to find that it was very baby-friendly. As we had a small child with us, staff seated us in a room off the main beer hall which was a positive as it meant we did not disturb other diners but also meant we didn't get... More
Interesting interior included a pulpit situated close to centre. Seat on benches along tables and served by staff dressed in monks habits. The Bohemia bottled beers quite reasonable. Limited options on menu. Waiter very friendly and persuaded me to have expensive, very small steak with large overcooked dollop of spinach and 3 small potatoes for 20€. Not impressed and by... More
We have been here before so when we arrived in Lisbon we headed straight here for a late lunch. We decided to sit outside in the garden (covered as there is nearby restoration). Nice and warm day. There were a few other people still having lunch. I wasn't too hungry so asked for the childs meal and was so happy... More
Cervejaria Trindade is a real experience to enjoy in Lisbon. From the beautiful dining room to the waiters dressed as monks. The service was friendly & the food was good too.
Went to a business dinner to this restaurant and it was lovely. My colleague and I shared a seafood rice dish, which tasted good, but the rice was slightly over cooked. Some colleagues ordered fish, while others ordered meat plates. Their dishes looked ok. The service was nice and friendly. Be sure to take a taxi or some other form... More
I really wanted to like Cervejaria Trindade having seen it recommended in various guidebooks, and in all fairness, it wasn't bad. I think my real problem with it came through a “hard sell” attitude. We had barely sat down when the tray of starters was offered to us – and although we said we would like the the cod fishcakes,... More
