We enjoyed our meal here. We shared plates of scallops with hazelnut and chocolate (!), duck bon bons with peanut sauce and oxtail and almond rice. We thought overall a better night that the one we had at the more vaunted Mini Bar Teatro. The Meando Do Vale Meao Douro 2014 was also excellent. The one waiter surprisingly seemed to... More

Excellent from start to end. Friendly phone reservation. Then we came in, last time was 2 years ago. We see this is still the same team in place, good sign. The concept (Small tapas to be shared between the 2 of us) is nice. The food is really good. Special notice to the scallops. service very friendly, we felt good.... More

From start to finish the food was exceptional. If you appreciate presentation and mix of flavours and tastes then this is for you. Unlike other tapas restaurants they bring one course at a time so that you get a chance to fully enjoy. Our waitress was attentive and very charming so service was also great. This is exactly the sort... More

Sadly Xapuri seemed overwhelmed and under staffed for a Saturday night. They did the best they could but with the food also falling short of expectations our patience dwindled. The polenta dish is great. Other dishes were just average.

After a morning of shopping in lovely Chiado, I chose to try a lunch here. It's a pretty old building and has a nice fusion menu with a little something for everyone.A diner can pick and choose different dishes to build their own menu . Mushroom soup was very smooth and tasty. The steak tapas was extremely tender with house... More

Our best meal in a four day stay in Lisbon. A bit more expensive than other places we tried but worth it. We arrived at 7.30pm on a Wednesday evening and had chosen the restaurant based on TripAdviser reviews and the fact it was suitable for vegetarians as my friend is vegetarian. We looked through the window and the vast... More

This is one of those restaurants were everything fits. Surprising and delicious food, very good wine, well decorated, nice music and last but not least good and friendly service. Will come again next time when visiting Lisbon. Highly recommended!

Found Xapuri on trip advisor. Bit of a walk, but worth every step. 4 sharing dishes and a couple of puddings. Don't miss the mushroom focaccia, the oxtail, or the pineapple creme brûlée.

We found this restaurant by chance and were greeted warmly by the waitress. The service was impeccable, as was the food. Our waitress was friendly, knowledgable (with regards to the menu and the wine list) and very professional. We ordered 8 dishes between the 4 of us, and we loved every single one. We could not fault any of them.... More

Description
Xapuri, It is a place with a welcoming and relaxed decor where the line is a "brand" of recovery and recycling of various parts, from the furniture to the wall intervention with doors in a vaulted interior of the fifteenth century. Specialties from Here and There ... A mixture of flavors and cultures, a menu rich and differentiated. We propose therefore a range of tastes/flavors of an exquisite journey through the various horizons of contemporary cuisine. We are open to the public six days a week for dinner. Good appetite !!

Staying in Chiado & Carmo

Neighbourhood Profile
Chiado & Carmo
The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally, "squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and viewpoints. It's also the home to the statue of the famous statue of portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, having is usual espresso at "A Brasileira" as he used to. You can also enjoy breathtaking views of Lisbon from the Elevador de Santa Justa or the Carmo Convent, for example. A commercial neighborhood at its core, especially for its Garrett and Carmo streets, Chiado is to this day a mandatory visit in Lisbon.
