Excelent experience in Lisbon. Very good services and food. A plus for having a kids menu. We tryed bacalau, the salad of the trilogy bruschetta. Everything was perfect. And do not forget to try panacotta and carrot cake.

My partner and I had a dinner here on our last night in Lisbon, and it was a fitting finale to all the culinary delights this city has to offer. The restaurant is small and quaint, perfect for a romantic dinner. Charming and attentive staff on what was a quite busy night. Stand out food, even for Lisbon - we... More

Just perfect lunch . Had local cheese platter (at least for two) salads and bruschetta (amazing). And they give you candy with your bill. Adorable .

For starters we ordered the spicy prawns and the cheese platter. Both were excellent. Be sure to order some bread, too, so you can soak up the delicious spicy sauce! For mains, we had the Portuguese cod (which came with a flaming twig of rosemary!), and the grilled fish of the day with vegetables baked in paper, which was so... More

I had the chance once again to eat ( twice a week) for the last month in Canto da vila, this place is charming and the staff just the best. Pedro in the kitchen knows how to prepare some of the best and innovative Portuguese dishes. Service with Ricardo, Cecilia and Sandra is joyful, polite and with much attention. I... More

lovely little traditional cafe on a street corner in Alfama district with around half a dozen tables inside and a similar number outside on the pavement. Service and food really excellent. Our last night in Lisbon and couldn't have had a better way to end on.

This place is absolutely amazing - cute setting and delicious food. We ordered beetroot paste, herb butter, olives and bread basket for entree and it was DELISH! The beetroot paste is so great and the olives were the best we've had during our travels so far. I ordered the chicken saltimbocca and it was to die for, just amazing. My... More

Great to sit outside or inside. A great selection of craft beers. And you must try the spicy prawns as well as the cheese plate!

Staying in Castelo, Alfama & Mouraria

Neighbourhood Profile
Castelo, Alfama & Mouraria
Explore narrow streets and alleyways, small cafes and, of course, the internationally acclaimed Fado music. The earth-shattering Great Earthquake of 1755 destroyed most of the city but the contiguous neighborhoods of Mouraria, Castelo and Alfama remained standing to this day. These neighborhoods represent Lisbon at its historical best. The cool breeze of the Tagus river will take you up the hills to the sound of Fado, where you'll discover the best "tascas," eat delicious fresh fish and drink great wines. Discover hidden viewpoints and ancient traces of other civilizational ruins in the heart of the Portuguese capital. These are centuries-old neighborhoods that will welcome you to the very best of old Lisbon culture.
