Busy place it´s hard to get a table. The speciality of the house it´s a tender meat in big skewers. The meat was delicious and juicy. The french fries really crunchy. Great Lunch. A little bit noisy for my taste.

A nice place to eat near the Bairro Alto, were you can have a taste of Madeira island specialities like the Espetada. Quick service and price not bad.

This place was recommended by a local and did not dissapoint. The beef brochette cooked on a bay twig was delecious, along with fresh fried potatos slices and mixed salad.

This is a small "casa de pasto" of Madeira cuisine, where you can taste the real flavours from the Islands. The food is great, the environment is from an old typical portuguese restaurant where the food is what it counts. If you're a local you need to get here at least one time in your life, if you're a visitor... More

Ate here last night at the recommendation of our hotel. We weren't disappointed. No frills restaurant, full of locals, with friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. Well cooked fish and steak and a bottle of wine suggested by our waitress, plus bread, cheese and olives, all for €30. Bargain evening for some lovely food.

very typical tavern in the Old Santos zone. Their specialties are grilled fish and veal kebab sticks Loureiro a product you should try. Usually very crowded place, which is small, it is more pleasant at the time of spring and summer when you can enjoy the outside space.

This place feels really authentic with a limited but well presented menu. The blood sausages and Orange was excellent. The hosts were accomodating and spoke English well which made our choice of dish easy. bill reasonable

We went to this restaurant to have our Saturday lunch as we were in the area, and most of the restaurants we knew were closed. This looked like a promising place at first. There were no tables available, most of them were taken by locals and the graffitis on the walls gave it a special look. Once we got our... More
