We had a good meal here at reasonable prices for the location. The swordfish and the cod were very well prepared and served with fairly simple vegetables. Would certainly recommend.

Visited here searching for a local fish restaurant. A quirky place frequented by locals and tourists with a bar and tv showing football the night we were there. Attentive, friendly waiter who shook our hands after the meal! We had the sardines and seafood risotto together with a 'homemade' dessert which we're not sure what it was but it was... More

Um sítio onde comes muito bem, muito local e recomendo. Wife's (English) opinion: full of local people having lunch, enjoyable and great prices

Busy at lunch time but all was efficient, limited waiting and good service in a pleasant room. Good cuttlefish served on a fishy juice was particularly well cooked. A strange dish of peas, ham and a chorizo type sausage was interesting rather than good; but the experience of something totally Portuguese is not to be snubbed. Very decent wine for... More

I think the wood grilled salted bream must rate as one of the best fishes i have ever eaten. You know when you experience a sense of loss with the last mouthful that you have had something special. This simple place is testimony to unadulterated cooking with first class ingredients. My wife's sardines were equally tasty. We had a good... More

I was walking along through Bairro Alto and found this restaurant. As it was lunch time, my friends and I agreed to have lunch here. And we were very glad we did. It is a nice restaurant with good food, nice service and cheap prices. What more can you ask?

Completely full on Thursday evening at 2200 but we could wait on stools and got a table a beer later. Hospitable staff but no kid gloves for new customers. Take it or leave it. They will decide how to cook your steak, put a generously grilled thick dorade on your plate and you cannot say no to the home made... More

We had the cod fish salad, the bread soup and 2 steaks. Everything was superbly delicious. You must try the bread soup, mind blowing taste. They also serve breads, cheese and spread as starters. Most of the people around us were local so it felt like we discovered a well kept secret ;)

We popped in for lunch and had a relaxing meal with the locals. We both had dish of the day. ..one fish and one meat. It is worth getting a half portion as it is huge! Lovely atmosphere with local people coming in for lunch and great house wine. My fish was simple and delicious. ..very Portuguese. A little gem.
