We tripped across this bar and made a point of going back the following night. It is simply brilliant. Others must agree because it was full from early evening on but the wait for a table was only a few minutes. It serves a great...More

We stopped for a glass of wine before dinner, next day we brought a few friends for a port tasting in the morning. Great service from the waiter the night before and the waitress the next day. Highly recommended.

Excellent place to try different Porto wines, very friendly staff. They let you try a few wines before deciding the one you want to get. They do a great job explaining the difference between wines (age, sweetness, process of elaboration). Prices start at 4euro per...More

The staff (mainly one of the women working in the kitchen) like to loudly mock customers who they don't believe understand Portuguese. This one did!

We stopped for a glass of port. The waitress couldn't have been lovelier and the port was delicious. The staff made sure our questions were answered and let us taste a couple of different ports before we chose what we wanted.

Overpriced port and don't think the staff (at least when we visited) are particularly knowledgeable about port. Paid €14 for two small glasses - could have bought the full bottle for €30 and it wasn't a great port.

Great, friendly staff and a really cosy interior! More focused on their wines than food, but we ordered a cheese & meat platter and it was quite tasty and satisfying.

Although lacking perhaps expert guidance over the choice of bottle or which specific red/ white, the waitress was nonetheless very friendly. The seating areas were also very conducive to free flowing immersive conversation, with the lights dimmed and candles after 9pm.

Came here thinking we'd get expert advice on Port, but got a waiter who didn't seem to have a clue. Plus the other staff mucking about on mobile phones. The cheese and meat selection is fine, but expensive. We could easily have gone to just...More

We tried several types of port wine. Very generous portions and very authentic way to enjoy Lisbon. Very friendly staff and interesting ambience. The wines were delicious, only sorry that we couldn't take a case home with us.

A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site,
