STŌ is a gastronomic space located in the Historic Center of Lisbon, consisting of a small restaurant and a gourmet products store. The restaurant exclusively serves typical Portuguese delicacies for luch and dinner, freshly prepared with high-quality ingredients and products. From alheira croquettes to cod fillets, along with a selection of regional wines, not to mention the delicious desserts with the house's signature. At the grocery store, you can find some of the savory ingredients used in the meals served, as well as a carefully curated selection of products from small producers spanning from the north to the south of Portugal. It was the first restaurant that I visited in Lisbon and it was extremely impressive! The food is served exquisitely, is also very very tasty, the staff is extremely polite and hostile, the atmosphere is super welcoming, calm and chilled. They also tell the story about the food they serve so it is a unique experience! Strongly recommended. Thank you! <3

Looking for a breakfast and thought we would try this place. The staff speak great English and so attentive. Food is all locally sourced and everything we ate tasted light and fresh! We shared a Portuguese Brunch at €14 - freshly squeezed orange juice, granola/yoghurt/jam, cheese toast, scrambled egg and to finish Pastel de nata! All very tasty and will definitely go back.

We are a family of three Australians on our first trip to Lisbon. We spent a lot of time in the touristy area of downtown before we stumbled upon STŌ Mercearia. From the moment we walked in the service and atmosphere was great. No being harassed by menu-holding waiters here! This cafe exclusively uses local Portuguese products and offers a special brunch option of traditional Portuguese food. We had coffees and some cakes (all of which were fresh and served warm)! Even the ceramics the coffees are served in were handmade to enhance the coffee drinking experience by engaging all your senses. The waitstaff were lovely and explained the ethos of the cafe and said they had only been open for 6months or so. Everything in the cafe was fresh and new and you could feel the enthusiasm of the staff for this local gem. Highly recommend! 😊

George couldn’t have been nicer. We were getting small tattoos a couple of doors down and found STO. We enjoyed delicious gin and tonics and some of the food prepared here. There was a ridiculous shrimp scampi dish that everyone that came in ordered. Patrons came in for wine or snacks, the owner was so sweet. He took photos with us and for us. Service was great. There’s a small area designated for market items for purchase. I can’t recommend this place enough. Friendly and delicious. You will not be disappointed!!! Can’t wait to go back.

All of the food and ingredients are sourced from
Portugal and their freshness is evident as you eat. From freshly squeezed orange juice and toast with jam for breakfast to croqueteria and ham and pineapple sandwiches this is some of the best food you can eat. It is the local stop where you will make friends with the owners, chef and waitresses and come back every day of your trip. We certainly did. And don’t forget to get a cinnamon roll before you leave. You won’t regret it.

Stumbled across this gem, between Alfama and baixa, near rua Augusta. Very hospitable, the one gentleman is very passionate about the local produce and history of ingredients. A lot of care and attention to detail, only wanted a quick sandwich, ended up with a starter and desert, wine and beer, plus a local limoncello to finish. Perfect. Thank you for having us. One of the best experiences we had in Lisbon.

When we first moved to Lisbon we lived next door to this wonderful deli/cafe - a real gem. We stopped for coffee everyday, but it didn't take long for us to appreciate all the other goodies they offer - pastries, light meals and snacks, tea, beer and wine. They also sell products that are all sourced in Portugal including cheese, jams, olive oil, wine and more. Even though we have moved to another area of Lisbon we still make a point to stop in at least once a week to eat, drink and check in with the staff and owners. We really love this place. Give it a try, I guarantee you will go back again!

STO has only been open for less than a year, but it is a welcome addition to the Lisbon culinary scene. Since arriving in Lisbon, I have tried Croquettes in almost every restaurant, STO mixed meat croquette is by far the best!! A mix of chicken, rabbit, pork, and cheese -It is packed with flavor!! YUM. I had the shrimp with coriander that had a delicious sauce made for sopping up with bread. But best of all was the owner who explained the origin of each dish, patiently explained the menu, and made personal accommodations. It is a small family business, which must be added to your list.

The food here was great! They used local ingredients and was very meticulous in putting our dishes together.
Service was amazing, they were attentive and we felt very well taken care of. We would definitely stop by the next time we're in Lisbon!

Recently opened hidden gem. Modern design but serving only traditional portugese food and wine. They also have a little corner where you can buy souvenirs such as traditional wines, jams, beers, fish cans etc.
The host Jorge was extremly friendly and polite. He told us a story about every wine and dish we had.
Note: only serving brunch and lunch, during dinner they have happy hour when you can get wine and finger food.
Would definitely recommend.

Passing, going to Cascais by train, decided to drop in for a bite. On arrival Jorge made us welcome, explained options and where food sourced, we ordered and were impressed with the quality, quick service and reasonable cost. This place has nice vibes and so we returned again. Nothing fancy but really good.

This charming restaurant is a must if you visit Lisbon. Owned by a husband and wife, the food is simple yet elegantly delicious. The toast with jam served alongside freshly squeezed orange juice was absolute perfection. We are here every morning for breakfast and will miss our friends at Sto when we return home!!

A wonderful brunch and lunch spot in the heart of Lisboa.
We enjoyed both brunch and lunch at this great spot in Baixa. Jorge and the rest of the team were so welcoming, their passion and enthusiasm for their food and products was wonderful. The STO brunch is a stand out choice for breakfast, including orange juice, granola with yoghurt and jam (delicious), eggs with alheira sausage and finally a fresh from the oven pastel de nata!
Lunch is an equally great event, the same warm service and a range of both light and more substantial dishes to choose from. The cod fish loin with potatoes and the shrimp with sourdough were simply sublime! A firm favourite with our whole family, we cannot wait to return on our next trip to Lisboa.

So good. So good. So good. Amazing food. But even better service. We did the price-fix dinner. It was easy and well organized. My husband almost licked the pica-pau plate clean, but our server was smart enough to bring him some bread to sop up the sauce. And after a week of bacalau a braga, this was by far the best. Highly recommend.
