We were craving fresh vegetables, not an easy thing to find! This place was recommended to us and we have it a try. We were able to choose exactly what we wanted on our lettuce and there were many choices. The falafel is amazing. If you like crisp crunchy veggies and really want a great salad, this is the place.... More

Great place to stop for an affordable and quick meal (if the line is not too long) in Belem with plenty of options for all.

We went here because of good TripAdvisor reviews. Took two shaormas with different kind of meat. They gave us two of the same. Well ok..) We decided not to complain about that because were very hungry) But honestly... it was the worst shaorma in my life. I mean.. you can eat it. But its absolutely tasteless! Meat was very dry.... Considering the constant queue waiting for this "fast food", the sooner you go the better it is ! The staff is always smiling and joking despite the hard work they have to run the place! I really appreciated. The falafels are very tasty and the price is correct considering the size of the menu. Little tip : don't try to... More

After a long and tiring sight seeing we went to this place. We were happy we made the right choice. Folks who run this place are warm and friendly. Inspite of huge lunch time crowds, they were paying attention to customers in detail. The sandwiches they make are one of kind.

For me this is the best sandwish house that I know I live nearby, I remember when it opens and they still keep the spirit and the quality. Upstairs we can find some funny tiles with national known phrases.

I've been lunching here for more than 15 years and it hasn't changed a bit. It has a wide menu, but I almost always eat shoarma, because it is the BEST shoarma I've eatten. Highly recommended!

It's very busy place but it's worth to wait. For 5 euro you will get very big sandwich with tasty and good quality stuffing, french fries and soda/water. And range of stuffings is amazing.

Staying in Belem

Neighbourhood Profile
Belem
Belém is the "capital of the Portuguese Discoveries" and a photographer's paradise. You can spend an entire day exploring this neighborhood: monuments (Jerónimos Monastery, Belém Tower, Monument to the Discoveries), museums (Coach Museum, Centro Cultural de Belém) and breathtaking views of the Tagus river will make your visit worth your time. Belém also offers a variety of restaurants and cafes, namely the famous - and delicious - "Pastéis de Belém" (typical Portuguese custard tarts; make sure you buy an extra box of those!). Easily accessible from Lisbon's historic center, Belém is a must-do, especially if you're spending more than one day visiting the Portuguese capital.
