This place is always busy and has a line up all the time. And for good reason. Delicious food. Cheap food. Recommend the house prawns 'casa da gambas' and the 'Secrets of black pork.

Came here 15 min before opening and sat down. Five minutes later all tables were full and a queue was starting to form. The waitresses do not speak english, one of them was quite strict, forcing us to sit quite close to other guests (probably...More

We came in when we saw a queue of people waiting for a table one evening. If you come after 8 you may end up waiting but it's soooo worth it. Shrimps are great and so is octopus, cod, dorada. Waitresses don't speak much English...More

Nice little restaurant run by a family. There are not a lot of tables and there is always a waiting line, but it is definitely worth it as you get lots of meat/fish. This all with local prices. We ate with 6 friends and we...More

Myself and my boyfriend ate here and got a table straight away by sharing with another couple (be prepared to be pretty crammed into a table with strangers!) It took a good while for the waitress to come to our table and all around us...More

This local restaurant was recommended to us by our Lisbon host and we were glad that we accepted the suggestion, because it was probably some of the best and freshest seafood we have ever tasted! We returned for the lunch and than for the dinner...More

The food was really good and really traditional even if the seafood is simply cooked. Not fine dining and not so exceptional but still cheap and delicious. Staff can only speak Portuguese and we had problem to order what we wanted! However, it was ready...More

Inexpensive traditional food in a cheerful buzzy cafe. It gets busy here so expect to share tables. No fine dining - paper table cloths and metal plates. Food served with a smile with very little English. Plenty portions, prawns great so was rabbit and steaks....More

The queue I'm afraid, tells a lie. After being recommended this restaurant by a local, and seeing the queues the first night upon arriving in Lisbon, me and my partner hedged our bets on this restaurant as a sure gamble for evening dining on one...More

A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site,
Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply

It's a tiny place so I am assuming it's cash only. Order the Dorata fish ( My husband thought it was much better than the shrimp he had on our second visit. I ordered it both nights) Enjoy! p.s. if you head to Belem, and... More
