It's difficult to know how to start this review. Probably by saying that I just joined TripAdvisor because of the terrible experience at this restaurant. That says a lot. The waiters ignored us and displayed a lack of professionalism that is unexpected of a place so popular sometimes considered the best Mexican in Lisbon. The food was dry, tasteless and... More

From the first minute it's very clear the service is very bad. Excessive waiting and the restaurant was only half full and lots of waiters slowly walking by ... waiters simply ignored us. The food is simply terrible, no taste whatsoever . My wife and I ordered two different chicken dishes and they were both bland and tasteless. The chicken... More

Went to revisit what used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Lisbon, just to find that somethings should be kept only as a nice memory. The service was terrible maybe because they were to busy cleaning and counting money in the register and wouldn't care less if we were waiting or needed anything else. This was around 3p.m... More

Beautifully decorated, very colorful and with a gorgeous view of the river, the place promise much more than what it delivers. Although the quality of the food might be high, it's not really a big deal, just average and for the price you are charged, I was certainly disappointed. Margaritas are perhaps the best of the menu.

I know this restaurant since many many years ago. The transformation it suffered it is shocking. A good location completely wasted with a terrible service and food that range from terrible to bad/average. There's currently no scenario or use case which can make me go to this restaurant.

A friend of mine had the idea of the dinner, just mentioning that it is her mexican secret :) Since I have never been to this place, I decided to give it a delicious try. The restaurant is almost literally located on a beach, with a view even more breath taking during the night, with the lights from the ships... More

Slow service. Excellent place. A little overpriced. An average of 15€ per person. The food was good, nothing to complain about. Big portions. Average experience.

Staying in Belem

Neighbourhood Profile
Belém is the "capital of the Portuguese Discoveries" and a photographer's paradise. You can spend an entire day exploring this neighborhood: monuments (Jerónimos Monastery, Belém Tower, Monument to the Discoveries), museums (Coach Museum, Centro Cultural de Belém) and breathtaking views of the Tagus river will make your visit worth your time. Belém also offers a variety of restaurants and cafes, namely the famous - and delicious - "Pastéis de Belém" (typical Portuguese custard tarts; make sure you buy an extra box of those!). Easily accessible from Lisbon's historic center, Belém is a must-do, especially if you're spending more than one day visiting the Portuguese capital.
