4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed yesterday NEW

We had travelled on Gloria (the funicular tram to Chiado 3.60 return and worth it as the path is very steep !!!!) and this restaurant was a nice find as not many places seemed to be open in this part of Chiado on a Monday night. Food excellent and the wine was great value at 8.80 euros. Service good.

Nice spot for lunch, best Italian food on Trindade, very close of Bairro Alto. Excellent food cooked on the moment. Nice prices and the waitresses very warming. Five stars.

I went today to get a plate of good pasta and it was terrible. I had the plate recommended by the chefs. We also got the meat. The carpaccio di manzo was lame. There are a lot of great places to eat in Lisbon but this was jot one of them.

Great restaurant - we sat upstairs by the window both times - awesome view of the street and happenings. We were greeted by the manager/owner?? and he remembered us the second time. The pasta was excellent, waiter was friendly and attentive. My only negative was they place bread, olives, butter on the table but don't tell you that it is... More

We were greeted and seated promptly upon our arrival. There is downstairs, upstairs and outside seating. Our waiter was a very nice man, with excellent knowledge of the local wines. We shared a salad, then I had the Pork Scallopine with a lemon cream sauce, which was served with small potatoes and vegetables. It was exactly what I was hoping... More

We went there on the TAPAS rota. Many times restaurant adhere to these campaigns to get publicity but end up providing a bad service. Limoncello was the entire opposite. Excelent service, the tapa was simply very tasty and very good. They even exchanged the tapa for a glass of excelent white wine. Will definitely go there for dinner in the... More

To be honest, each time I go to eat to an Italian restaurant abroad I can not help but think about the funny movie scene where Checco Zalone after eating asks a ladder and a screwdriver to disassemble the sign that says "Italian cuisine". But this is not the case. We ate quite good, both pasta and pizza. Generous portions.... More

We had a nice meal here. The restaurant isn't exactly modern, more like rundown, but if you're seated upstairs by the windows you'll have a nice view on the streets below. The food was good. I had a pizza and it was all you would expect it to be. I would recommend this place if you're up for a nice... More

Staying in Chiado & Carmo

Neighbourhood Profile
Chiado & Carmo
The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally, "squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and viewpoints. It's also the home to the statue of the famous statue of portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, having is usual espresso at "A Brasileira" as he used to. You can also enjoy breathtaking views of Lisbon from the Elevador de Santa Justa or the Carmo Convent, for example. A commercial neighborhood at its core, especially for its Garrett and Carmo streets, Chiado is to this day a mandatory visit in Lisbon.
