The old Port wine was too expensive, an essentially just sweet without complex aromas. The food was average at best and very pricey too. Best thing is the friendly staff and the interesting building (an old water distribution station).

Our concierge recommended this - he eats there himself almost every week. Fantastic value for what you receive - great wines, great port, and the food is excellent. They have wine and/or port flights from 6-8pm, and food and wines by the bottle or glass...More

I returned to this restaurant after two years and had another incredible dining experience: small plates with incredible flavors, delicious wines. The waiter was charming and helpful; the space is incredible. Will return every time I return to Lisbon. Highly recommend!!

We like wine but are no expert and decided to go to Chafariz do Vinho. We randomly picked up a wine from the list, which the waiter (owner?) later stated was a choice only a fool would make, and this applied to all the wines...More

This was so, so much fun. Let's start with the setting. The restaurant is built into the middle of a 19th century aqueduct. We sat across from the main chute in an area for removing impurities from the water. We did the port wine tasting...More

It's hard to call this tapas 'tapas'. Every plate offers an incredibly delicate taste sensation. Beyond excellent food and wine, the unique location and history really make this a Lisbon gem worth uncovering...

We came for the happy hour wine tasting, planning to move for dinner. We ordered a couple of the dishes, and were so impressed with the quality that we changed our plans. Apart from the interesting wines, highlights included the pasta (sort of sheep cheese...More

I stumbled across this place, so had no preconceptions. I had the light tasting menu at €22 for 3 tapas courses + dessert. Lovely wines (3) with this menu, and a very good wine list anyway. Between 6 and 8 they also do a happy...More
