We stopped here on our Globus tour and we needed a place for a lunch stop. This little restaurant was down one of the side streets...not on the main drag, but one of the side "alleys." The food area was shaded and they took credit cards, so we tried it. The food was tasty and our waiter was very friendly... More

I've been there with too friends. We were attracted by the guitar player of the area, who was playing for the restaurants. Food/Price was descent. Everything was ok , till we saw the receipt, we were charged for something we didn't order. When the waiter brought the drinks along with the bread he also brought olives and a local cream... More

My wife and I had dinner here. At first we were directed to the a table in the smoking section, but then were given a table upstairs in the non-smoking section. Tables are close together which made for good conversation with a couple from Denmark. We had the sea bass which was excellent and the waiter will filet the fish... More

There is so much choice in Cascais, it's overwhelming. However, there's a main square with lots of umbrella'd restaurants around its edge. We somehow "chose" John Bull even though it looks like it's trying to be an English pub. It's not ! It's really Portuguese. It's bustling and busy and there are lots of waiters and customers vying for space.... More

Typical tourist place, but quite decent. Very fair prices for food, albeit fish a bit plain. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Very pushy to get you dine, too much so! I had the Sardines and got very sick after eating them, feel sorry for anybody else who ate them that day.

For me it was an almost daily stop for a glass of wine, or some really great sangria. I also had a few meals there and it was always good. The service is excellent, and there are always other tourists to talk with

Good food, good prices. Get the chars is chicken with a side of creamy peppercorn sauce.. That's the secret. The real reason for the review is the awesome service. Gonçalo serviced us our first time, along with two other fantastic servers, and he remembered us our second time back. He is awesome. 5 stars for service and good food!

We order sardinas and calamares and it weren't fresh at all. Too much oil in the plate. The potatoes were having a bath of oil and garlic and for sure they were cooked the day before. The guy from the restaurant beside was all the time shouting to everybody offering drinks and food and it was bit annoying. You can... More

Description
Ate on the terrace in April 2011 and it was delicious. We shared a seafood rice (25euros) which we were told would feed two people. It was fantastic and easily the best paella we ate on our trip and would feed three people especially if you have bread and a starter. This was the best meal we had during our 3 weeks in Spain and Portugal. One of our party spilt a little sauce on her top and the waiter came to her aid immediately with a spray to fix her blouse. Fantastic service, setting, price. Wish I could eat there again.
