We heard about the restaurant through some fellow Belgians we bumped into earlier that day. And were warned that it's not the fanciest or cosiest place but that the fresh fish is awesome and the prices are too. And oh boy how they were right. We ordered the shared plate and were able to ask for extras (without extra costs).... More

A fantastic restaurant, very popular with locals and families. Excellent fish dishes including a large and delicious four fish casserole with potatoes. I also recommend the house white wine at €4 for a litre. The name of the restaurant is actually the Nuclear Sporting Restaurant.

We didnt have a good experience at all, we were a group of 3 but 2 of arrived first to the restaurant. Once we arrived to the restaurant we asked for a table but the staff told us we couldnt seat until the 3rd person arrived... I would understand if the restaurant was full but only 10% of the tables... More

You can't beat this place for the food is fresh and delicious. Sardines seem to be their specialty which we enjoyed. There is a wide range of fish and pork.we had the pork belly delicious served with rice and kidney beans. English menu, one staff member speaks perfect English and is an absolute delight. I rate this highly

For those looking for grilled sardines, Sporting is the spot. Other options of fish and meat make it a quite good place to have Portuguese food, It is quick, cheap and tasty. There are usually delicious fish starters with "broa", a tasty corn flour bread..

We sardines and gilthead bream (english for "Dourada") and we loved. The fish is very fresh and very well grilled. I got to say that I am not a big fan of sardines, but I loved those ones.

Really good place to have traditional Portugese dinner. Staff doesn't speak that much english but I think that it is only a good thing and we still had a good conversation. Altough don't know how much we understand each other. Fish is excellent and you definitely get what you paid for and more. I highly recommend this place.

A good real portoguese restaurant with a very good quality - price relation due to the big "plato de dia". Unique fault the internal noise.

Be prepared to be sharing a table at this great little eatery to accommodate the popularity amongst holidaymakers and locals alike. A great set menu with a great price. Simple fresh fish and meat with yummy side dishes at a great price. A must go for visitors to this area.
