Our waiter - a very pleasant, helpful gentleman - suggested a sort of tasting menu. We received a platter of assorted meat - very fatty, rather overcooked - followed by a dish of stewed beef. The beef was partly immersed in a very greasy stock, and the part above the "waterline" was rock-hard. This was also very fatty. The bread... More

Our delightful local guide took us to this cosy restaurant, and we were so grateful to him for this choice. The restaurant is clean with interesting rustic decor. The welcome offered us was warm. All food (too much of it!) was chosen by our guide so that we could sample the most important delicacies of Terceira, and this was a... More

We went here with our guide from Comunicair. The restaurant is owned and run by sisters and they specialize in local food typical to the island. We enjoyed several local dishes - for starters, a plate of various local meats with pineapple, pickled vegetables, and bread. We also shared an alcatra - a local dish of meat stewed for hours... We stopped in for lunch during our trip based on great reviews of this restaurant. We were not disappointed! The atmosphere is quaint and rustic with a large fireplace. Our waiter presented us with a chalkboard menu (all in Portuguese) and explained each dish to us. He recommended to us to do a family style sampler of all of the... More

...during a drive around the island with one too many detours to view another stunning view. Staff so pleasant and informative, food exquisite. More beef than I've eaten in five years and the bread and dessert and coffee each perfect.

We came to Ti Choa as a result of our Jeep tour that we had booked through Communicair. In the tiny town of Serretta, this little spot offers some of the heartiest alcatra on the island. While the menu is certainly rich and meat-centric, it's a charming spot and a lunch there guarantees no need for another meal until the... More

We booked a reservation for the last night dinner before they closed for the Christmas holidays. When we arrived there were a group of American Military celebrating dinner and they were wonderful people. The servers were so friendly when we arrived a little earlier than I reservation and they technically we're not open yet for dinner. They had just baked... More

Stopped off here while driving around the island. Very quaint and family place. Absolutely loved the atmosphere. They put together a family meal for our group of 4 consisting of local dishes. The black pudding was a pleasant surprise. A must do in terciera.

In a village on the west side of Terceira, this a great place for traditional food. Heavy on the meat, each dish was tasty and enjoyed by all. Call ahead for opening hours. We were planning on dinner and moved to lunch due to hours. Worth the trip.

We tried to get a table for dinner one night but they were all booked up so we returned a couple of days later for lunch and were very happy we did! Our waiter was so accommodating when we asked for suggestions from him he suggested he bring us a small platter of authentic Portuguese appetizers and the alcatra stew... More
