Just putting the new name in the title so everybody can see. Whoever is in charge of tripadvisor pages should just change the name. Otherwise we were very happy with our dinner! I had the octopus (very well done) and my fiancé had the tuna...steak (very very tasty with a red garlic sauce). As starters: liver chop and cheese board... i think everything is very good here. The waiters are very kind too. When we visited there were just two waiters for the whole restaurant but handled it perfectly!More

As was mentioned by another reviewer, this restaurant is now called Adego do Mestre Andre. The food is still great and I understand it is still operated under the same family and we had the same wonderful waiter, Roberto, we had 4 yrs ago. They...had good deals on daily specials, 4 of us split 2 daily special, 2 appetizer specials, bread, olives, a small carafe of red wine, a white wine and a beer and the bill was 22.5E. Be advised that this included some local cuisine that some pickier eaters may not be up for, such as blood sausage, but if you want to eat like the locals, it is quite a bargain. They have a full menu and you do not have to order things you are uncomfortable eating. I was greatly disappointed to find that none of the restaurants were serving limpets as they have been over-harvested.More

This restaurant is now called Adega do mestre Andre. My husband and I ate here tonight for his birthday. The food and service was excellent, the waiter was cheery (seems to be lacking on this island) and his English first class. Our food was cooked...to perfection and had a real home made traditional feel about it. My husband had the soup and the special cod dish and I had the chicken. In wine dish (served with chips and salad). Our plates were almost cleaned by thd end of the dish it was so good. We would not hesitate in returning or recommending this restaurant.More

This is a place for people for who like meat. There are lots of cows on the island. From the local cheese with pepper sauce, to the steak and wine, it was a fun evening with good food.

We were heading to the pizza place across the street from O Corisco's and our wait was long so we headed there for a cocktail. This was on Thanksgiving night (for those from the US) and we were celebrating a fun trip with friends. I'm...not sure if it was the manager or owner for who helped us, however he was fantastic and SO SUPER nice! We ended up getting two bottles and we left really enjoying the sitting area by the bar. Two nights later we were trying to find a place for dinner and decided to go back b/c of our great experience. There was another guy working (Encerrado) and wow what an unpleasant experience we had with him. He was clearly irritated because we came in close to closing time, he was rude and not friends, he said they were out of at least 2 if not 3 items they had and said it with a total attitude and I couldn't wait to get out of there! All he had to do is tell us that they were closing and he could seat us, that's it and we would have understood. And not to mention, there were 4 tables there already and we ate and left before they did. I wish I knew the name of the first guy who helped us because due to Encerrado and his cockiness I would not recommend this. I typically don't leave negative comments, however it was certainly a turnoff to us tourists which I would think is a majority of his customers in the area he's in.More

Go every year . High quality and great setting . You have to search for it as not quite in Main centre. Love the decor and the home made deserts .

After checking TA we went to O Corisco for dinner. Our waiter was friendly and spoke English but was full of himself. We ordered two different fish dishes. The food was OK but not as good as other places in Ponta Delgada we had eaten...in. Prices were reasonable. Parking is difficult.More

We were two friends that went there after recommendations and reviews online. We were quite convinced that after reading the comments we’ve done a good choice... actually this was disappointing and this was our least favourite restaurant. We ordered fish and it came with boiled...vegetables and potato. Service was ok, not the friendliest nor bad. The place it’s quite dark and not really joyful. In comparison with other restaurants we don’t recommend this one!More
