Visited last night for Petiscos shared dining experience for three. Lovely traditional and full of character restaurant in old town Portmão. Full main meal menu and extensive range of petiscos on offer accompanied by fabulous wine list and full bar. A shared selection of a...smoked meat and cheese board and six petiscos traditional Algarve offerings selected. Very generous portions, beautifully cooked and presented then followed. A couple of bottles Cartuxa and water washed everything down. All shared in a relaxed and nice ambience with very attentive service throughout. The level of business proved how popular this place is. Pre-booking is essential. Summarising a delightful sharing dinner experience with good food and wine at very reasonable prices. Recommended for sure.More

This restaurant is a hidden gem in the heart of Portimo. We have been regular visitors over the years and we have never left disappointed. Chef and owner Paulo and his wife and team are very friendly and welcoming and take great pride in what...they offer. During our most recent visit we shared Prawns in a chilli and garlic oil. Superb. I had lamb chops (5) with roasted vegetables and my partner had Angus beef burger which was also first class. Fries on the side were a different class. Huge wine selection and no problem in getting good bottle for under 20 euro. Left desert for next day. Highly recommended.More

Very cosy location to eat dinner in Portimao. The is decorated with wine bottles. You have a large assertment of tapas and of regular main courses. We took a shared plate of fried fish as a starter, and had the fish and a steak as...a main. The waitress recommended a nice bottle of local wine. We ended with the desert, a simple but tasty chocomousse and added a desert wine. Overall very delicious dinner in a cosy setting. We enjoyed it.More

Spent a week in Portugal and tried many restaurants. I had the best steak ever here. If you are visiting Portimão, you must go there.

I'm a head chef. Thr food here was amazing, staff very friendly and helpful. Chef is a great cook. Steak was cooked professionally to perfection.

The best place in Portimao to eat high quality food, with original plates and perfect flavors. The grilled cheese, meat and the tofu were great. Perfect service and nice place. I didn't know food could be so incredibly simple while so fresh and delicious. We were large group of 7 and we all couldn't get enough of the perfect food. The carrot appetizer, fried chicken, steak, salmon burger, tuna, tridente were all Amazing.

We visited Casa da Tocha when in Portimao, for a few hours on Saturday. We didn’t have a reservation but as it was early we took a chance and thankfully we were accommodated although most tables were reserved. We had the best meal we have...had in the Algarve, starting with Sardine Bruchetta, Shrimp Curry and Cataplana, finishing with Chocolate Mousse and Passionfruit Mousse. Absolutely delicious. Well worth searching out. Easy to find and you won't be disappointed. Fabulous wine bar and restaurant with delicious food a greta staff. You will need to book as not a large place.

A cozy meal with wonderfully fresh fish. I had a mixed grill with three types of fish and sweet potatoes, everything was cooked to perfection. I tried my partner's duck too and it was amazing! As was the specialty Portuguese dessert, which has to be...tried with ice-cream- The lovely server agreed to add the ice-cream!More
