Great food and good location, easy to find

We arrived a bit late for the lunch but got excellent service. We ordered, after recommendation, Tikka Masala meat and chicken versions with rice and naan and they both were very tasty Indian meals, not too spicy as we requested. The portions were a bit...small, but we did not mind that.More

1st Indian meal in Alvor

This is our fist time in Alvor and we were recommended this restaurant. I have to say the food was stunning and the staff was so welcoming especially (Hussain). One.of the best Indian meals we have ever eaten. I would highly recommend 👌

Don’t miss eating here if you’re in Portimão

Without doubt, this is the best Indian restaurant around. The staff are friendly and excellent, the Indian chef produces superb, authentic food, and does it consistently. The restaurant has a great lunchtime menu for €9.99 and features poppadom, Nan bread, curry, rice, pickles and a...drink. It’s a real bargain. The head waiter, Aman, loves his sport, especially cricket and enjoys a chat about India’s fortunes on the cricket field.More

Great New Years Eve Dinner

We went here for dinner on New Year's Eve. Thankfully we booked in advance because it was a very popular restaurant. The welcome was great as was the food and service. We will definitely be going again.

Trust me I ate at both places back to back this is the one that I will come back and bring friends

First off let me say there are two Indian restaurants next to each other. I went to both today the clear winner is Masala house. The chef is from India the restaurant next door is actually Bangladeshi. The lamb vindaloo is amazing and the hot...is perfectly balanced with a great flavor without overpowering the palette with heat. The garlic naan is spectacular!! I highly recommend this restaurant. Well worth the No 1 spot on Trip Advisor

Wonderful food, fabulous service and great atmosphere. We had the vegetable pakora with vegetable korma, garlic naan and cerveja preta for just over €31. Utterly delicious. We will be back.

Fantastic Indian cuisine

Friendly helpful staff. They make good suggestions. Extremely tasty food. Beautiful rice serving dishes. Full bar. Attentive staff. Open late. Good for people watching.

Loverly food one of the best I have been too, We visited this restaurant twice while staying in Portugal and the food was spot on loads of flavour And not oily like some Indian restaurants

Lived up to our high experience

Masala House was on our radar due to its high TA rating and our desire after 3 weeks in Portugal to pivot from typical Portuguese fare. It certainly lived up to expectations. Every item was of the finest quality and well prepared, including the Papadum,...the Garlic chili Naan, and the Zeera Rice. The main dishes maintained the level of quality and taste. The special shrimp curry and the chana masala were spicy, tasty and fragrant, not simply overwhelmed by chile. The chana masala was possibly the best I have ever tasted. The service was good and the tab was reasonable.More

Superb Indian Cuisine

Fabulous food. We had the Palak Paneer with Onion Pakora. The chef produces their own paneer and its superb. The raita is also hand made (I'm assuming) as it is so good and different to others I've had. Friendly service but attentive and professional. Have...their own wine. 5*More

Recovery food

After burning the candle at both ends a night in was called for and wow so glad we decided on Masala House for our takeaway. Perfect portion sizes, meals were divine. Naan etc to die for.
