Wonderful Italian Restaurant in the Algarve

We celebrated a milestone birthday at La Bella Vita and they went the extra mile to make our evening special. The restaurant is tastefully decorated with fresh flowers and lots of windows. The service is exceptional and the food magnificent! Thank you for making a...special day perfect!More

SUPERFANTASTICO !!

Spent January in Carvoeiro, unfortunately many of the excellent restaurants have been closed, presumably due to a lack of visitors, early this year. Despite having visited the area many times, over a 20 year period, we had not previously been to La Bella Vita. That...omission has been our loss! La Bella Vita is outstanding. From the outside it gives the impression of an elderly, tidy, Algarve hotel building, but once you enter into the restaurant, WOW! It literally has everything that you could want from a quality, full service, Italian inspired eatery! Ambiance, Attentive Proactive Staff, Eclectic Italian Menu, and Best of All, a Chef, who must just Love his Job! Best decision any reader of this could take would be to get along to La Bella Vita, ASAP, and JUST ENJOY!More

Whoever goes is in for a treat

I wonder reading the reviews if I'm reading about the same restaurant we've eaten in twice in a week. We got talking to an American couple at the end of our first week who recommended this restaurant as it's hidden away we would probably never...have ventured there. What a find, the calamari on my first visit was lovely and the spaghetti special with clams and prawns delicious on my second one, my husband had a duet of fish with tomato sauce and rice which he said was outstanding. The portions are large, they said they will offer half portions if you prefer, we over ordered the first time, especially as the chef offers a complementary small starter size salad with meats, delicious. The staff are attentive and discreet. The Portuguese might not want to hear it but this was easily the best culinary experience of the holiday, I wouldn't hesitate to go there several times during a stay and recommend it to whoever wanted to ask me about the best restaurants in the area of Carvoeiro.More

Well worth a visit, great

Excellent food and friendly attentive service in pleasant surroundings. Very much a high level the menu offers a wide choice from fillet steaks in exquisite sauces to pasta and pizza. With a wide range of prices to meet all budgets.

Authentic Italian food

Authentic Italian food. Enjoyed it from appetizer to desert. The lasagna was particularly excellent. Reminded me of my travels in Italy.

Wouldn’t dine here.

Would not recommend. Staff was very rude and condescending. Decided to leave and eat elsewhere. Many great options in the area- skip this one.

Horrible

Place full of empty tables both inside and outside yet they said they were full and wouldn’t seat us. I’m sure I know the reason as people of color. Would never recommend.

Such a great meal with very nice waiters!

We just had an amazing meal with the nicest waiters. The plates we're nicely filled and oh so tasty! The wine served with the food was a great fit with all the good food. With all that amazing food came great service with some waiters...who were happy to serve the food to you.More

Not my first time at La Bella Vita and certainly not my last!

My favorite dish at La Bella Vita is the pasta with clams and shrimp and never disappoints. Always enjoy the surprise starter that comes with a personalized touch of the Chef. Lovely wine selection and one always needs to leave room for the dessert special....The staff are friendly and the elegant ambience of the restaurant never fails...great restaurant for special occasions!More

We won’t be going back!

Awful experience, rubbish service terrible food. We waited at least forty minutes between courses, We sat outside,it was so dark luckily we could not see what we were eating!

No Change After Covid.

Well I’m back here after missing a year to Covid. And nothing has changed. Still great service, Great Food and Great value for Money. And the Chef’s complimentary starter, very nice.

Tasty food and good service.

Decent Italian menu, well prepared rich food, quite busy when we visited. Great location overlooking the triangle at Carvoeiro.

Best Restaurant in Carvoeiro

Super meal, not rushed the staff were very friendly and attentive. A fine dining experience our group loved it. A little distance from Carvoeiro but we’ll with the trip out. We visited 3 times during our stay..

Lovely Italian Place

Sublime place for Italian food lovers in the region. Had the most luxurious dessert ever (house mix). Clam and prawn pasta was second to none (just the right level of al dente). Restaurant was also set at a great location which gives you the country...estate feeling.More
