Gold Palace has closed down. It is now an Irish pub. I was there last week. This restaurant is no more, it has ceased to be.

Was on holiday in Albufeira in July and on our last night visited this restaurant...wish it had been the first night! The value for money here was AMAZING! We paid 13 50 Euro each and we could eat ANYTHING or EVERYTHING on the menu for that price. The portion sizes were ample and the food was beautiful. The owner was... More

Please don't take too much notice of my 'average'- we weren't able to review as we weren't able to eat here. This was our second attempt to eat at the Gold Palace- the first time was on Wednesday evening and it was closed, so we went back tonight. Surely it would be open on Saturday night?? Nope.

Came here for the buffet and was shocked when the buffet was 'order as much as you want from the menu'! Food was delicious. We were very surprised it was empty, we'll be there again for definite

Excellent variety on the menu, and all very apertising. We visited twice, the first time they were really busy, the second time they had just opened for the evening and we were the first customers. The food was lovely both times, very tasty and obviously freshly cooked to order with great portions too. The service was second to none and... More

Having read some negative reviews of Gold Palace and having a poor experience ourselves about 18 months ago, we were apprehensive about making a return visit. However we decided to give it another try on two recent visits to Albufeira, We sampled the "lunch special" priced at 5 euro, on each occasion we found the food was back to its... More

To be honest, we were actually looking for a different restaurant that we saw on trip advisor....and walked in here by accident. When we realized what we did we quickly looked up Gold Palace on TA and decided to stay since the reviews were good. The food feels home cooked and was fantastic! Give it a try!

Have to say this is the worst Chinese meal we have ever eaten (binned) Got a takeaway as our hotel was two minutes stroll round the corner and thought we would enjoy it on the balcony before going out for the night. I`m not a great lover of Chinese food but the wife is and even she binned hers. It... More

We ate here several times on our last visit, but we feel this time the food was not as good. It may have been because it was so quiet. We will give it a go next time.

An excellent lunch. We chose a fixed menu (there are several formulae ) at 19.95 euros for two . 6 different dishes + rice .All freshly cooked and well presented on a 'keep-hot' circular lazy susan platter. Final bill including a bottle of local wine 24.50 euros ,unbeatable value
