Recommended by hotel and undoubtedly excellent. But for visitors from overseas who don’t understand the way it works, caveat emptor. We broke our usual rule of asking how much every dish cost, presuming there was a generic price for the various starters as experienced elsewhere....More

A very small place, very cosy, the food...amazing! The owner serves what is the best, leave it to the owner, he knows what you must try! We will come back again for sure.

This is one of of the best restaurants where I ever been. The food is really traditional and really great. The service 5 stars and the place very nice and quite. There are room for only 12 person (maybe 14). We need to be careful...More

Mr. Oliveira, the owner serves and his wife cooks. It is a small 4 table restaurant. Calm low jazz background music, delicious local food, the very best cod, a delicate spinach shrimp soufflé, excellent local wine, and delicious dessert. A very simple but special experience...More

The place is small, only 5 tables, but everything else is big including heart, soul and hospitality of its owners Manuel and Carolina. This restaurant gave...More

Tiny restaurant with just four tables, when you arrive the table is already laid with six tapas style starters. The owner, Manuel, gives you an enthusiastic welcome and additional plates arrive without you asking. They are all delicious and are a meal in themselves. Then...More

I got good recommendations for this restaurant. Upon arriving, welcoming Mr Oliveira filled the table with starters and, to my surprise at the end, the most expensive ones... Some good, some too salty, 'pataniscas' (presented as the house speciality) too oily. Main courses ok, but...More

Be careful because there are between 4 to 5 appetizers already placed on your table and they will charge you for them unless you tell the waiter which appetizers you want to keep. Wine is good but the food is over priced and over rated.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at this charming restaurant. The ambiance was relaxed and warm, the service welcoming and knowledgeable. Starters were delicious and fresh, including the famous crab and pataniscas de bacalhau (best I’ve had) as well as some excellent local cheese. Follow their recommendations...More

This place has outstanding food. Just be careful on all the appetizers they put on the table unsolicited. If you touch them, you pay and some like the crab, are expensive. If you want them fine, but if you don't you can send them back....More
