This was our fourth visit to Evora and this restaurant which is a favourite. Amazing regional tomato soup and good house wine. It is a great experience.

This restaurant was recommended by the hotel we stayed at. Enormous portions - we shared the delicious tomato soup (served with bread, little sausage pieces and a poached egg) and the porco preto - a feast for two people - followed by a delicious sericaia cake for dessert. The local wine was poured from a barrel. Outstandingly good food and... More

Lovely rustic atmosphere, friendly host and Excellent food, we shared the tomato soup and then the Porco Preto, then treated ourselves with local cake dessert. Local wine by the 0.5 litre which was excellent; plenty of food for two people and the cost only 30 Euros. Best value we have had in Portugal

Amazing tradicional food. Recommend the tomato soup and the migas, both excellent and well prepared. Not an expensive meal for that quality.

Adega do Alentejano is an excellent choice. We started with covert of bread & olives, and a glass of house wine. We split an order of the tomato soup with sausage bits, and finished with cake with syrup topping and candied plum and ginjinha – a home made cherry liquor that was very tasty. The meal was excellent - and... More

A cosy restaurant themed in true Portuguese style that offers traditionally prepared Alentejano food for very very resonable prices (and generous portions). Although there is no English menu, ask for the menu with pictures or just ask Calos (he speaks English very well). I can recommend the tomato soup (even to share) as it is wonderfully flavoursome and comes with... More

You seriously must go here to meet Carlos and enjoy his tomato soup! Sounds simple but after many visits to this restaurant I still can not get it right when I return to Seattle!! The food, the wine, and the charm of this restaurant are pure Portuguese, and by that I mean wonderful! Carlos is very knowledgeable in the selection... More

This is a great restaurant in my town. I recommend this restaurant to taste de authentic local food like "Migas com carne de porco" or "sopa de cação"

Great place to eat Portuguese food, special migas and sausage. And the 'bolo de requeijão' is not be of the best deserts. Having a meal in this restaurant you have a chance to meet the old traditions in Alentejo.
