This restaurant was the high point of our visit to Bruges. Brilliant food and wine; incredibly warm, welcoming service; and a hugely atmospheric space. One of the best restaurants we've ever been to, and certainly the best this year. Go, go, go!!

Small operation, smoothly run by a couple, he (Wim) in the kitchen and she (Kim) in the dining room. Tasting menu was a good choice. Carpaccio of boar and smoked eel is definitely a creative idea. The boar however was not really raw as you would expect in a carpaccio. And could have been sliced a bit thinner. Quite good... More

What a little gem. Although a busy little place it is run by a couple, Wim and Kim. Wim cooks all the food, and it is very, very good and Kim runs front of house effortlessly on her own. Service is always with a smile and they could not be more helpful with your requirements.

Heard that an old friend runs this place so we came for dinner. What an amazing, spectacular visit this was. We knew this friend is an excellent cook but still were suprised. Original dishes, seasonal also. And a very cosy interior, feels like Your in the house of a dwarf with all the wood, mushrooms and table cloths. Very good... More

A cosy intimate restaurant with fantastic food. Kim was the only person front of house but somehow she made everyone feel they were special. Wim appeared to do all the cooking himself and brought out our main course himself. If you want fast food there is a McDonalds in Bruges but for an enjoyable evening you would have to go... More

My boyfriend had always longed to go to Bruges and knowing it was a foodie city we did some research and found a review saying how dining at Pomperlut was slightly like being in a fairy tale. We were sold. The restaurant itself is very old and there are oversized mushrooms adorning thr walls. A central light fitting that hangs... More

This restaurant is located a short but pleasant walk out of the centre of Bruges in a charming old building by a park. The menu choice was quite limited we both chose the traditional Flemish Vol au vent dish. This was comprised of 50% ris de veau (sweetbreads). It was well done but for our tastes a little overpowering. The... More

Despite a mixup with our booking which was organised in advance, Pomperlut made sure to resolve the issue and had us seated at another table within 5 minutes. This made for a bumpy start but was saved by the one lady who was running the show (front of house, cloak room manager, server, wine connoisseur, you name it...) which ensured... More

Really beautiful setting. Small restaurant, with only a few tables, and a select menu. Lovely ambience, with quirky decor. There was only one waitress, and one chef on the night we visited which meant they were both working very hard serving all the customers. We found our main courses very salty (so much we couldn't eat them). The waitress took... More
