Had a lovely meal with the family here on first night in Bruges. Onion soup starter was very nice and really enjoyed the cheese fondue. My dad enjoyed the Flemish stew, and my partner enjoyed the fish stew though didn't think it was anything special. Service was very friendly and attentive. Good price for a meal out in the city.

On a cold sunday night at around 8pm we found Pietje Pek when walking from our hotel We walked away about 90 minutes latter happily impressed with excellent service, very good food, and a comfortable atmosphere. Know upfront this is not a over the top place, it is casual and warm, maybe a bit noisy due to the easy going... More

The waiter was very helpful, but nothing could help the fish stew. The slabs of cod and salmon were both over cooked and tough, and fairly flavourless. Beware also, the bottled water at 9 euro/litre. Shame that, like most Bruges restaurants, they refuse to serve tap water, which creates unnecessary waste.

We stopped by to reserve a table for the evening and were told by the manager that she would only hold our table for ten minutes and would let it go if we didn't show up, which we understand, but the way this was conveyed was extremely rude and arrogant. We arrived 30 minutes early to an empty restaurant -... More

Fabulous food and great service with a wonderful atmosphere. The best fondue I have ever eaten. When we returned to Bruges this was the first place we sought out and we were not disappointed. Highly recommended.

This restaurant is on the same street as our hotel, so a two minute walk. It is in a small street just off the main square. We were advised that they could only take cash that night. (?) We both had the local dish of Flemish stew which was delicious ! It's not a huge menu, but there is plenty... More

Great little restaurant with a small but perfectly adequate menu, although a limited choice for a pescatarian. What more could you want in Bruges than mussels and chips though? they were excellent. Interesting decor in a delightful old building, and very good service, very pleasant on a cold winter day.

This is a tale of ‘almost was’. We showed up at the restaurant when it opened – except it didn’t. The sign said it opened at ‘x’ – no it didn’t. A girl inside indicated that the sign was wrong – come back in 30 minutes. Fine – went to a place and had a beer. Went back at the... More

Ate here on a Sunday night, no reservation was required. Menu was very limited and quite expensive but cheaper than the restaurants that adorn the main market squares. Had a pheasant pate to start which was very good but €18! Rabbit stew for main was also very tasty, nice tender meat in a sweet sauce Beer menu was good, nice... More
