Found this place by chance, was quiet but the menu and decor looked good. Had a mezze and one tagine to share between two people and was both delicious and more than enough for both of us. The owner was friendly and informative, and more than happy to talk us through our choices and meals. Would definitely recommend.

We came across Ryad by chance and found a welcoming atmosphere and a fine tangine and couscous supper.

Found this great restaurant just off the Burg in Bruges called Ryad. Has this large black framed window where you see the owner or staff preparing service. Wonderful open high And I mean High ceilings in some places and cozy nooks and crannies in others. Low light but amazingly inviting, the Owner Philip gave us a cozy table next to... More

We landed here in search of Halal fine dining on our first day in Bruges. To be honest Decor of restaurant is very good but environment is very dull. Prices very little high in terms of the return value. They need to do something to bring life in restaurant. I am not sure whether he was owner or chef but... More

In search of a light snack (coffee and cake) we found this place. The decor seemed really interesting and quirky and they were offering a special price for tea and cake (7 euros from memory) which we ordered. There were two small pieces of cake and a teapot of green tea. It was nice but nothing special. However, we had... More

We ordered a starter 'mezze', 17 euros for 2 persons, it was only an an appetizer, and really not worth the money. We asked the guy from the restaurant whether or not we should order 1 or 2 tajines. He answered that the portions where quite good, so we ordered one. This sounded plausible, because the prize was 20 euro... More

nicely decorated in keeping with it's food, this restaurant is a pleasant place to spend a few hours eating very good Moroccan-based food - Tagines and Couscous the main dishes and the ones to go for. Eastern music for atmosphere and pleasant staff. Recommended!

My husband and I stopped in for a late lunch around 4pm on a Saturday. We were so excited that Ryad was open and willing to serve us, as most other restaurants were closed! We ordered the lunch special (soup, salad, and lamb sausage curry with couscous) and chicken tagine. We also ordered tap water and were happy that this... More

Booked at short notice but glad we did. Really enjoyed the food, especially the meze starter. Did not mind being served at the buffet as you could have as much as you wanted. The lamb tangine was really good. The organic ruby beer is my husband's new favorite drink!! The owner was very attentive and took time to explain the... More

This restaurant seems to divide opinion right down the middle and although I can see where the poor reviews are coming from, I have to say that we all enjoyed our visit and the unusual nature of the food. Have to agree that a buffet where you don't serve yourself is a first for me and imho unacceptable. Some of... More
