Just found their business card in some old paperwork, and it reminded of my visit. Le Petit is tucked down a pretty little street. The restaurant cosy and the staff friendly. The food is hearty and great. Look forward to stopping by again next time I'm in Ghent.

We had dinner here with a party of 4 on a Monday evening, while almost everything else was closed. Razor clams with butter, garlic and parsley: reasonable but chewy. Gravad lax: not better than Ikea's. Beef steak: average meat quality, the cooking (medium rare) was ok. Béarnaise sauce: disastrous, didnot taste or look like the real thing. Blue cheese sauce:... Our last night in Ghent, we were looking for a place to have dinner and found this charming restaurant located off the square. It looked very nice with all tables elegantly set, candles and nice decor. They did not have a menu in English so the waiter interpreted the menu for us and explained all dishes. We both decided on... More

We tried the fixed menu with wine for E50. Perfect choice for an evening out. Good food and wine. Friendly service. Great ambience in period setting.

We visited here with 2 friends on an overnight stay in Ghent. Some restaurants were shut for the holidays, but luckily Le Petit was open! We chose the menu with wine included, 47.50 euros, and it was fantastic value. The staff were so helpful with translations of the menu, and it was a very friendly atmosphere. I had the mussels... We diner here with a party of 4 and had a great time. It's a quiet location and you can have a good conversation. The meat was of excellent quality and the set menu only sets you back 35 euros for a three course meal. Please not that the lat/long coordinates for this restaurant are wrong and you can't use... This hotel was in a back street near our hotel and was a great find. The menu was in Dutch and French but the waitress was very patient explaining it to us. We decided on the menu of the day - 3 courses including wine 49 euro each. 3 or 4 choices for each course and it was all lovely.... More

Whenever i feel like going out on a sunday evening for dinner, i mostly end up here. The steaks are excellent. So do try one with roquefort sauce.. :-)

We decided to eat here after a recommendation from a local and he wasn't wrong, this place was stunning. We arrived fairly early for dinner, about 6pm - after a long day in the cold and rain we were more than ready for something warm for dinner. We decided to have the three course menu of the day which offered... More

Went to Le petit for dinner with a work mate on our last night in Ghent would be better if I had my wife with as it is a rather romantic little french bistro with I think a family run operation, had a wonderful simple salad and a great steak with a really good pepper sauce the dessert of crime...
