It was an ok, local bar, nothing great. It closed a 3 weeks ago and will re-open under the same name but different ownership. Works are under way, from what I saw passing it just now, the new version will have nothing to do with the old.

Making a chicken Caesar salad doesn't demand lots of hard work but requires at least Fresh ingredients. The salad with not even cooked bacon (and by not cooked I mean raw), soft croutons and terrible unfresh smelly chicken bits. I barely touched the platter. The waiter apologized many times after I explained that somehow the chef is ruining the restaurant... More

Whilst wandering around the Chaealan district of Brussels we found The Duke round about lunchtime, just at the corner of the Place Chatelan. A good find. Very pleasant service, good, solid food (we took the fish and chips and the boulette and chips), quite acceptable wine (we took 2 glasses each - so it can't be that bad) and a... More

Hope I am reviewing the right place...the food was not malaysian/morrocan but typical begium. Decided to eat here after a long day of waking around. The menu is completely in French but we chanced it anyway. The waitress also had very limited English. The O/H played it safe with a Burger... whereas I went for vol-au vent with an unknown... More

My family and I stumbled into the Duke while in search for dinner one evening while staying in Brussels. It definitely looked like a lively little spot so we thought to give it a try. (Most other places on the street/block seemed to be just wine bars, but the Duke actually had a full menu of choices. We wanted actual... More

This is a typical Belgian brasserie. The food could be nice, but since we were trying to find more exotic food we moved on.

The calamari was the best we have ever tasted. I was somewhat apprehensive ordering the meatballs with the rabbit sauce, but they were absolutely delicious. My daughter ordered the meatballs with the tomato sauce and they were delicious as well. The service was attentive; we would highly recommend the restaurant.
