Frederic Blondeel gives you the best hot chocolate drinks you can imagine. The cocoa is thick and really tasty. On a cold day it warms your body completely and glues your bum to the chair because of its richness. Well worth a visit if you ever feel like indulging in the mysteries of the dark fruit! Quiet and relaxing atmosphere.

I visited the shop at Rue de la Paille, the friendly proprietor was helpful, and there are many different flavors, some very unusual I had not seen at other places such as Basilic Dark Ganache. There are many, many choices in different styles, as well as cookies and other snacks.

This is one of my 2 favorite chocolatiers in town (the other being Pierre Marcolini). The chocolate is so smooth and perfect - particularly the pralines (and they are somewhat reasonably priced). Makes a wonderful gift.

The chocolates are amazing and there's something for everyone's taste. But what really tipped it for me was the customer service. The woman at the counter knew everything about her chocolates and her attention to detail with picking the chocolates and boxing them and wrapping them was astounding. Really an all-round great experience and totally recommendable.

Next to Taschen shop - the chocolates were worth trying. This is a city full of the best chocolatiers - I enjoyed sampling most, I brought these home.

Tried the usual chocolatiers of belgium before and this one stood out. Was recommended by a local and personally suggest that you pick up your stash of chocolates only from here. They have many truffles and combinations to choose from with a large variety to suit all palettes.

It's not Marcolini. The best Pralines Belges are now made by Frederique Blondeel. There are very few places where you can get them in Belgium, which is a good sign. The tiny Sablon boutique has a trully good [and a remarcably humble] service and all you might wish to sample. Another well kept secret is their excellent chocolat chaud.

I must say that Frederic Blondeel has redefined chocolate for me. In fact, Frederic Blondeel pralinés, truffles, chocolate coated speculoos and nutty meringues have become some of my favorite gifts for guests, friends and family. The hot chocolate actually deserves that name, being a dense chocolate concoction that lets you experience the intense flavor of the chocolate and the other... More

This place was recommended by my air bnb host. I got a box of pralines and some chocolate covered biscuits and now I wish I had brought back more. My dad and I have been hiding the chocolates from each other. The pralines are truly spectacular, layers of flavour. It's just good stuff-they know what they are doing.

outstanding place for chocolate and related products, like ice cream in summer and coffee and hot chocolate in winter ... certainly recommended ! service could be a bit more friendly, but hey, this is snotty Brussels ;-)
