Arriving in Brussels from the airport is still a little fraught. Since the airport bus follows a diverted route, I found myself at the opposite end of Rue Archimede. Trying to order a meal in the Schuman area at close to 22.00 hours is not easy. In Dal Padrino I found I was welcomed in to dine with lingering guests... More

This is our go-to restaurant when we stay in Brussels: the food is simply the best, with generous portions, fresh ingredients and home-made everything, there's nothing negative we could say about this restaurant! The house red wine (Tartufo Nero) is very good and smooth and goes well with the meat dishes on the seasonally changing menu. There's also a set... More

When you enter you have to climb stairs up to the first floor level, almost like entering a private home. And the feeling continues once you are inside. The friendly waiter, also being the owner (?) welcomed us and showed us to the table. The menu contains all the classical Italian dishes you may want. We went straight on to... More

Owner serves himself, explains a lot (all in italian), different seasonal dishes - I keep going back for the pasta tho. Worth a try in the garden during summer! Will go back for sure!

As I work in the EU quarter, I frequently go to Dal Padrino's for business lunches. I have been quite disappointed with Italian restaurants in the area, but Dal Padrino's is by far the best and the only one I'll go to during the week. The food is consistently authentic and fresh. The service is one of the best in... More

We went there for lunch while all the other surrounding places were full. All tables in the garden were taken so we hat to make do with the interior. But that was also very pleasant: The huge windows were open to let a light summer breeze in. Service was very friendly and efficient. My starter of vitello tonnato a classic... More

friendly, attentive, interesting menu but a bit pricey (- actually it was a bit of a shock). It's very easy to spend 70Euros + here per person and not know it. but to be honest I did enjoy the food. loved the pasta tagliatelle in cream and truffle sauce in a parmesan basket...shame I was over charged for it ...... Flawless cooking of original Italian recipes, first class fresh ingredients, impecable service. Feels like home even if one is not Italian. Among the best dishes those of fish, whether as apetizers or main courses. Excellent desserts, real Italian expresso.

I've known Giulio the owner of Dal Padrino for many years in both his old and current locations and, I guess, sampled most of his offerings. Service with a smile and good Italian cuisine. Book ahead as generally full at lunch time.
