Glad I ended my last night in Europe here. Had the sausage and spare ribs. Both were superb! Great service and beer. Must visit!

Went with a mate while on a long weekend and after checking the reviews we were looking forward to going and it didn't dissapoint. Friendly staff talked us through the menu and I plumed for the stewed rabbit while my mate went for the sausage....Both were served with mash and, along with the beers, it was so good. Beautiful product cooked very well with an eye on local produce and taste.More

We managed to get a table here without booking just before 6pm on a Saturday evening. It turned out to be perfect timing because wishing 15 minutes most tables were occupied and a queue was forming. As others have mentioned, the menus are written on...blackboards (in French) so you may need help with translation from the helpful waiters. Service was attentive and friendly. There’s a good selection of Belgian beers as well as a varied menu. I had the Carbonnades á la Bière with mashed potatoes which was rich, hearty and delicious. My partner had the Stoemp Saucisses which was very generous and tasty too. The atmosphere is friendly but it’s not a high-end place, just good food with lots of locals eating there. Our table was outside, the only downside being the number of people smoking around us but this common in Brussels. If you’re offended by the smoke I would recommend a table inside.More

Great beers with big variety of brands to choose. Good Belgian food (try the comarades) and the best service I’ve ever experienced. The waiter was speaking 3 languages fluently and was helping pick a plate and beers. Loved it

This was the best restaurant we visited during our short stay in Brussels. We went there to try some authentic local food and were delighted with the food, the friendly service and the reasonable prices. The Carbonade and Lamb are to die for! It is...so good that it is always busy so to reduce your wait for a table its best to go early in the week - please note that I think that it is only open in the evenings.More

You can tell the food is good when people are prepared to wait 30-45 minutes outside in the damp weather for a table. If you are not there when it opens you can expect to queue but the staff do there best to slot you...in when there is space. Of course, you can always enjoy a beer outside. One of my colleagues demolished the jambonaire - ham hock - with the bones going back polished. The rest of us enjoyed the ribs - a great big pile served with baked potato and coleslaw/salad. Yes it is a bit basic, but the food is good and hearty and, compared to some places, the prices are fair.More

A very nice place, clean, with relaxing canvas on the walls to enlighten the atmosphere (full of people when we came) and some home-made decorated tables giving an additional touch of personality. The service was perfect, the kind waitress gave us many information, dishes and...beverages arrived quickly. The food was very abundant and delicious, the meat perfectly cooked (we took the carbonade and the chicken salad), tastes balanced and no greasy at all! Really recommended, especially the tables outside in this hot Belgian summer!More

A very good Belgian restaurant! A lovely place to eat a great carbonnade! Went there twice and it was always very good, I recommend the small terrace in sunny days!

I don't think the place needs any more good reviews, as they seem to be already quite famous. Nonetheless, I would like to leave one, to mark the best restaurant I went while in Brussels. Although there was a queue when my group arrived, it...moved quite fast and it was definitely worth the wait (+-15 minutes). The food was delicious and the service was quite good and friendly. The meat was cooked nicely and was quite tender. I definitely enjoyed every single bite and I would be quite happy to return here when I'm back in Brussels! I definitely recommend coming here if you are in Brussels and want to try Belgian food! The quality/price ratio is excellent in my opinion.More

One of my favourite restaurants in Brussels. Tasty Belgian cuisine, nice decor and good staff. The only downside at the moment is that they do not take bookings, so getting a table is a gamble because it is a popular restaurant!

The seating is quite busy in this restaurant, making it quite difficult to have food with small kids (less than 5yrs). If the kids are a bit older, it should work.
