it was my first time in brussels, les brassins had been recommended by an Austrian Journalist working in Brussels. It's located in a very young neighbourhood, reportedly Audrey Hepburn was born next door. Good Filet Mignon. Excellent beer, but hey, it's Brussels, what did you expect.

Les Brassins has probably a better reputation than it deserves. Three items on the menu were unavailable so we ended up ordering a ribeye and a burger. They were both OK but not amazing. They had a good selection of beers though. The atmosphere is jovial but it is better suited for lunch than for dinner.

We arrived on a Friday night, after hearing rave reviews about Les Brassins. Almost every table was reserved, but the restaurant was quite empty. The food we ordered was mediocre, my steak was tough as old boots, and the frites were limp and greasy, served in a sort of dessert bowl, and certainly not enough. My companion had the meat... More

I had heard great things about this place and wanted to go specifically to try the Rabbit in Kriek sauce. I was a bit disappointed, it was fine but the sauce was a bit over-reduced and thick. Reservations are essential. We arrived two minutes before opening time, and just managed to get a table. A few people who arrived after... More

Ambiance is great and food fantastic. I came with a group of friends who all liked their dishes. I had magre de canard and the home-made icecream, both very tasty. When booking a table, try asking for the room in the back, which usually is a bit quieter, though close to the kitchen.

Sadly the service was so unfriendly that we decided to leave before ordering anything. I have been in this place twice in the past and the food was ok. People who work in food and hospitality should have a minimum of passion for what they do.

We went to the restaurant yesterday, we were 5 and asked to eat at around 22. The three girls were ok with it but immediately grumpy. I presume that they wanted to leave early. We ordered different things and they arrived after 4 minutes (I know because of messages on a phone), which made us think that everything was ready... More

We went for dinner to "le brassins" and even though we booked a table in advance we literally sat in front of the door where it was very cold. the place was so crowded that people would stand next to our table the whole time. The food was nice, belgian cuisine first you get the impression of an authentic belgian... More

We were looking for real Belgian food (not the moules frites type) and this place really delivered! Funny and relaxed staff, very nice food and a really great beer menu. Do try it out.

This was really the nicest place we have been to for a nice dinner in Brussels! Even on a friday night the waitress gave us a nice little table in the restaurant - we were so happy because another one just neglected us because we had no reservations. The menu is also in english although the place looks more like... More
