went there as a recommendation of my daughter. I did not regret for a minute. I like sushi and there are not a lot of places that you could eat fresh and get good service. We had just that and I recommand everybody to go and try. One very important point: reserve before you go!!!!

In my humble opinion the best Japanese restaurant in Antwerp, if not in Belgium. The sushi is always super fresh and delicious...

We went to Izumi last Saturday with high expectations and unfortunately, we came home disappointed. I think one of the reasons of our high expectations was the price of the restaurant, which is quite high compared to other Japanese restaurants in the area. I like the food of Les Saveurs the Yamada a lot (a Japanese restaurant not far from... More

Authentic Japanese cuisine, the best quality sashimi I've ever had, excellent sushi made by a Japanese expert, satisfying cava and prices equivalent to quality, so much worth it!!!

Owner Eddy has lived 20 years in Japan and opened his authentic Japanese restaurant in 1978. The sushi-chef has been there since 1995. They only serve fish fresh from the sea and the interior ( including a mini Japanese garden in the back ) is as authentic as it gets. I just love the place! You don't have to spend... More

Amazing Japanese where so many things are on offer other than sushi. Authentic setting, cooking and atmosphere. The sushi and sashimi are all very fresh and the classic selection is available and well prepared. But what I really loved where the other dishes. The noodles, the meats, fish liver, and my favourite: fish cheek. Absolutely amazing! Sounds weird but it was... More

we had a business dinner at Izumi, 7 of us which required putting a few tables together. The restaurant is not very big so best reserve a table. There were mainly couples and friends when we went there in the evening during the week, plus ourselves with the business dinner. The decor is good, a mix between the old Belgian... More

one of the top dishes is supposed to be tuna fish. you should try it and then compare to an average asian bistro. it is sad to serve this to unaware tourists and and charge a premium for it.
