Didn't get my meat the way I asked it to be cooked, even though I mentioned it. + I had to leave earlier then my friends and paying my own part separately was upsetting the owner enough to make a big deal out of it. That was a customer unfriendly experience. Keep your food and unfriendliness: not going back there.

De Rode Zeven is a great place where you're always welcomed with a smile. The menu is not very extensive but the quality of the food is pretty high. I'm a fan of their steak, it's always cooked to perfection ! It's a pretty big place so walk-ins shouldn't be a problem during the week. It might be a good... More

this used to be a dingy, smokey cafe. They upgraded it but kept the traditional feeling. So if you want to eat tasty, belgian food in a nice setting, go there.

a friend of mine recommend me this bar-restaurant, and indeed it's a cool place to go, very local, very from Antwerp, with nice draft beers and an interesting menu. If you want to blend with the locals well go there and you won't feel disappointed Price is very very correct too and the neighbourhood is interesting, popular and mixte.

The servers were very attentive when I walked in after I made a reservation for a table for 1. Most of the clientele appeared to be younger couples, although a children's menu and a box of books, craons, etc indicated its child friendliness. A varietyof music played in the background, and conversations were easy to hear. The room was long... More

Rode Zeven, which means Red Seven, got its name as it is #7 on the block and housed the Communist Party some time ago. The food was excellent as was the service. Our hosts at B&B Alegria recommended this to us and since it was less than a 10-minute walk from our hotel, we visited it several times. [The rooms... More

The Rode Zeven bills itself as a cafe/restaurant/art gallery but there's little evidence of the gallery part. The food however was good, the price average and the service friendly. The outdoor terrace, facing the city's largest square, is pleasant, although the entrance to the underground garage takes away most of the view.

This mix of a typical Belgian 'bruin café' old-style decor with benches and good, well priced food doubles as family restaurant, brasserie for coffee and your newspaper has an Italian menu. But also many typical suggestions on the daily changing blackboard. It doubles as local neighborhood meeting point, business lunch restaurant, cool 'branché' hot-spot for the Antwerp 30 somethings, party... More

I went there with my daughter on a winter evening,it was cosy and they played very good music:Dylan,Neil Young,Van Morrisson.Typical 60 thies,70 thies! There are also music performances and exhibitions. The horsesteack with chicory was lovely also the butter fish with mashed fennel potatoes. They have a good chef Ilya, who gave us a tip about the red housewine. I'll go back!... More
