I have used this since shortly after it opened and visited today. The food was then excellent and still is very good. Had a number of different owners over the years, and yes the present owner has a sensse of humour and nothing is too much trouble. I would love to be in touch with the original Ana who lived... Food always delicious. Travel frequently with dog by ferry and always welcome there. Would go if lived near by just for the cheeseburgers 😉.

I have visited this little pub a few times when I've been working in the area and waiting to board the ferry home. Food is simple pub food, and I'm sure the chief cook and bottle washer would rustle up whatever you wanted regardless of whether or not it was on the menu. Lots of banter and a lovely relaxed... Really nice beer, cheeky banter and even an ice lolly for my little one at The Pub. Perfect way to spend a couple of hours before the ferry.

After arriving at the ferry we still had some time before boarding. We had seen the pub and decided to spend an hour outside. It is reached through the ferry terminal and has lots of outdoor seating with pretty planters full of flowers. The atmosphere was good and friendly. Food is available but we didn't have time so enjoyed a... More

Excellent way to spend a hour or so while waiting for the Hull Ferry, Food very good, the soup was just what was needed after a cold scooter ride from Menen. Look for the York Scooter Club Badge!

We were booked on a p&o ferry to hull and had to stay overnight the p&o staff were not helpful at all so we came here for a meal which was excellent and the owner, Jan was so helpful and found us somewhere to stay. Highly recommended

We visited the place by accident and definitely had a great experience over there. Jan, the owner, gave us an unforgettable night while we had dinner. Made us feel very confortable. If you are taking the ferry, don't miss the chance to visit it. The place is beautiful and the food is good.

It used to be that arriving at the ferry terminal early meant a very long boring wait in the car. Not any more! A visit to Jan in the pub could not be a better way of waiting for the boat. I discovered this establishment by accident a few years ago and it is a must on our return trip... More
