We were looking for pancakes for breakfast with syrup and the works on them, and found Moak.
The store was decorated nicely - pretty instagrammable.
The pancakes tasted like they were kinda nutritious and made with brown flour which personally isn’t what I was looking for in a pancake. I want them to be naughty, salty and vanilla-y
Just thought I’d make this review for anyone else craving some naughty pancakes, as this isn’t the place.
But healthyish ones, sure! They’re good for breakfast though, and feel like you’re eating an actual breakfast

My spouse and I have been vegan since 1991 and 1990 respectively. We have been looking for a place that serves American style vegan pancakes and have finally found one in Amsterdam. We had one savory (hummus, avocado and other vegetables) and one dessert style (with blueberries) and both were scrumptious. The service person was so warm and friendly, we will definitely return...often.

I loved the pancakes so much. They taste very well. The chocolate sauce is very tasty and not too sweet! The offered menu is creative and nice to explore. The owner was very nice and provided recommendations. I liked the music (older hiphop and R&B), I liked the toilet doors and the interior :-)
I would love to have that place close to our home! Also very good that whole grain wheat is used and no extra sugar.

Summary:
Taste: Pancakes tasted great.
Presentation: Plated well.
Service: Awful.
Overall, the pancakes tasted great, and the photo attached speaks for itself. However, I was extremely disappointed with the service. Not only did we have to wait 15 minutes to be seated (nobody acknowledged we were waiting) but when we ordered our food and drinks, our drinks never arrived. Getting hold of a someone was a hard task and eventually we left without receiving our drinks.
Let down by poor service.

This was a terrible experience.
The costumer service were exstremely slow and the pancakes is not worth the hype.
We stood in line for 1 hour even though there were 3-4 empty tables in the restaurant.
The pancakes was like eating a wet sandcake. Then were tasteless and dry.
I would recommend “pancake factory” instead, way better service and pancakes.
DONT GO!

There's nothing basically wrong with this place. It just isn't what I expected or wanted from a Dutch pancake house. Pancakes are American style but tasteless and somewhat flabby and the vibe is warehousey with noisy music. Not a relaxing or comfortable place to enjoy breakfast.

Waited for a while to be seated
Service Extremely slow. Can see they are totally under staffed.
Ordered English breakfast tea - no milk was served and it had bits of lemon rind in it (that isn’t black tea). When asked about it was advised the only black tea they have…
Food was nice, I mean nothing overly exceptional.
Price is a little pricey for what you get.
Don’t think will be returning in a hurry.

I feel like this restaurant is one of the most overhyped in Amsterdam. I believe Amst has much better places to offer.
First of all, the exterior of the restaurant is poor, it doesn't look nice at all. Second, the pancakes are really expensive for what they are offering. Yes, the pancakes look nice but the taste isn't anything spectacular, and the chocolate is very bitter. If you don't have to, don't spend a lot of time coming to this low average, overhyped place.

Very large Thick Whole meal pancakes with good amount of toppings, you get value for money. Pancakes were good, not the best I’ve ever had though. Don’t be fooled into thinking they are Dutch pancakes as we thought that (they are very American). I would recommend coming as it was a good filling breakfast with good service. Overall it was good.

Great ambiance. The positives end there. The food was an embarrassment to the name of pancakes . Every single thing we ordered was flavorless and extremely hard to finish. Would absolutely not recommend anything on the menu and please do yourselves a favor and eat anywhere else.

For a pancake place the pancakes are just awful. They are big bread lumps showed with fancy toppings to try and make them look better but just can’t take away from what actually underneath, a horrible pancake. The whole place feels like a gen z attraction shop trying to law in American tourists and failing miserably. Avoid this place at all costs and steer clear when in Amsterdam. You have been warned.

Lovely little find. Savoury and sweat toppings on fluffy, light pancakes. These are not sweet ones so they are not overly sickly. Few reviews have said the pancakes are nothing to shout about but I think these pancakes need to be appreciated with the toppings. The pancakes by themselves are just pancakes but you go for the variety right? Good coffee and juices available too. We did have to queue as there are limited tables but 100% worth the 10 min wait

Located right next to the Bilderdijkstraat tram stop, this place allows you to enjoy sweet and savory pancakes. The welcome is friendly and smiling.
We went there for snack and we had an ice cream baby and a blue magic deluxe. We also each had a watermelon juice.
The wait for our desserts was okay. Once served, we are brought maple syrup, which we can use as desired to drizzle our pancakes. It might not seem like it but it's very filling, especially because of the three stacked pancakes!
We got it for €35 between the two of us, which may seem a little expensive compared to traditional restaurants or cafes and tea rooms. Otherwise, a good surprise for a snack break.

Don’t understand how this place has so many great reviews from vegans! Pancakes appeared to be full of food dye, tasted bland and not enough fruit- there are far better places. Coffee was not good either.

My fiancé found this place and I will forever be grateful because our breakfast/brunch experience was amazing. We both thoroughly enjoyed our food and drinks, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was great with good music and decor. The tables were quite close together but you didn’t feel on top of one another. We wanted to go again the next day but unfortunately we couldn’t manage with our flight times, but I cannot recommend this place enough - honestly the best find on our trip!
