Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent pub located right near the Dam Square in the heart of Amsterdam. I went there with my son. Service was a bit slow (a member of staff was sick) but Caragh was amazing, friendly and professional and we had a great time. The food...was tasty and the Guinness was excellent.More

We split up as a group to visit different shops around dam square and this was a great place to meet up once anyone was done walking around/shopping etc. Very easy to find, very reasonably price considering the location, nice menu of food, something for...everyone. The staff are very friendly too, with plenty of space inside and plenty of seating outside, so really nice to have a drink and a bite to eat. Chips were really good here too!More

Stopped in for a snack and a pint. Would have stayed longer, but with no A/C, it was excessively hot. Tried the bitterballen (Euro 8.50) and they were quite good. Service was friendly and quick. Atmosphere is exactly what one expects in an Irish pub....If you use the ladies toilet downstairs use the left stall. The gal who used the right stall was stuck in there because of a faulty door lock.More

Reasonably-priced food and excellent, attentive service. Very nice interior. Only drawback was the smell of tobacco from people smoking outside.

Best breakfast I can find in Amsterdam. Served hot and quickly and with a friendly welcome. Music is a bit loud and this is a busy place because of it’s central location but if you can put up with that first thing in the morning...the. Trust me and head here for brekkie!More

Great little spot. Myself and my wife called here every day at some stage on a 3 day break to Amsterdam. Lovely staff and a nice atmosphere. Great pints, live coverage of Soccer, rugby and F1 and we just had a beautiful Sunday roast there...before leaving for the airport. Be sure to call here. Manager and staff were very nice. Thanks for the hospitalityMore

We went here (4 of us) for the Sunday lunch we'd heard so much about. It didn't disappoint. The owner also came to chat with us for a little bit, adding that personal touch. It's a typical Irish pub - family/friendly feel!

Barman looked at me like I had ten heads when I asked for a blonde ale” it’s ale. He was Irish and never heard of it!!! (I’m Irish too) and younger barman abused me for saying wasn’t I next to be served. Lovely bar. Pity...about the rude staff.More

Wonderful way to spend a rainy afternoon in Amsterdam. The Guinness and beef stew were the perfect combination. My friends told them it was my birthday and they brought me great desserts to share. Fun place with Irish music playing. Highly recommend it.
